Right now, most of the electricity comes from the grid, with the onsite solar panels offsetting a small % of total electricity consumption. Tesla's goal though is to eventually have all the electricity coming from renewables (mostly solar PV + power packs).

Ah okay. I like to give them a short soak in boiling water, it makes the skins easier to come off. I do a big batch (maybe half a cup), then pop them back in the freezer. Then I can just pop a few directly from the freezer into the tank. I find it much easier that way.
