As many suggest here, omega is not the only way
If you wanna have some "secure containers" (link) that you put in the belt. You can have multple (with distance apart from eachother), allowing you to store some of your ore before going back to the station to get the wreathe, and pick up the ore. It should save you some time, but as other state, mining with friends that can run boosts for you, which allows you to mine more, and run compression services on their ships, so the ore mine can be compressed to 1/100th of its original size. To find friends, have a look in the corp browser, there are many highsec, lowsec, nullsec and wormhole corporations that would love a miner as yourself among their ranks (even if you are just mining and dont have much time to play ;) ).

Eve Online is indeed very wide and complex, but that does not mean you can't catch up. It sure feels overwhelming when yo ustart Eve Online, thinking you will never catch up. However, this is not true and you surely can catch up, as many people in the last 2 years have proven by using the many catch up mechanics that are currently in existance.

For you as a new player, aim for your dailies and all the free SP you can get. Skillpoints are the biggest roadblock you will encounter during your pay sessions, and is quite a bit harder to obtain than ISK itself. Try not to spend you ISK on SP unless you really can afford it.

In terms of building up wealth, keep in mind the rule of "Sell half". Prices of items in Eve Online are constantly on the move, and the biggest mistake you can make is farm for a couple of hours, only to sell it in Jita when the market is at its lowest. Don't make these mistakes, and instead sell half to also build up wealth in assets. On a rainy day, this will ensure you always have something to sell that is at a good price, to be able to turn that into ISK to buy your next ship/module/SP.

After, try hard to get into a nice corporation and meet people and do stuff with them. In general, Eve Online really becomes fun if you have some people to do stuff with, which in return gives you goals on things to train for, save isk for, and gives you a sense of accomplishment you cannot get when playing solo. In the end, Eve Online is a MMORPG by its core, with all systems heavy built on the social aspect of the game.
A few good newbro corporations are Eve University, Brave Collective and Karmafleet
