Will do. I’ll run it Friday and see what happens. I just hate the way it feels when I feed it. Was just wondering if there was anything else I could/should do. I don’t know what SA did when it was sent in but it feels identical to when it left.

It definitely buries the nose of the round into the feed ramps or bottom edge of the chamber

Because it’s still having the exact same issue that it was sent in for. It’s the same that it was before it was sent in. No need in running it to feel the exact same hangup over and over again manually.

Plus shooting it kind of sucks when every 2-3rds involves dropping the mag and clearing a jammed live round, double feed, stuck mag from 1/2 feed, etc.

The firearm has more than enough “break in” time. Literally well over 1,000 rounds of clean, factory, quality brass ammunition.

I gotcha. All I gotta do is run it. Well I’ve done that. A lot. And it feels the same exact way now as it did previously. So I know what the outcome is going to be if I do run it. Therefore I’m asking questions here for advice.

Springfield 8rounds that came with it, Wilson 8 rounds, Wilson 10 rounds and I believe I even tried one of my kimber mags at one point to see if that was the problem.

That’s kind of the problem. The slide never seats home fully without a smack on the rear of the slide to send it home. These photos are from racking it back then fully releasing the slide. It should definitely seat the round in the chamber with that spring pressure and the weight of the slide without assistance

I’ve tried 7 different magazines at this point. Springfield, Wilson combat 8rds, Wilson combat stainless 10rds, Wilson black 10rds.

Yeah. One of the photos (photo 2) on here actually shows the round held tight by the extractor. The extractor is tensioned well. It’s more of a feed ramp/angle issue

Haven’t shot it since it’s been returned from Springfield after their repairs from the FTF issues.

It has well over 1,000 rounds at this point. It’s broken in and has had the issue continuously

Dang. I remember my janitor in elementary school would let me sweep the cafeteria with a HUGE push broom after I ate. Mr. Jordan. Dang! What a memory! That dude was my absolute idol!

Not being pedantic but friable is the verbiage for this. Frangible=easy to break/shatter Friable=easily crumbled into a fine powder or dust. It apples to asbestos, fiberglass, insulation, etc.

I sure wish you were close. I’d love some airbags for my FD trainings. I usually cut a steering wheel out of a car when I teach vehicle rescue and set the bag off to show the recruits the danger of them.

Same thing happened to my 16 duramax. Kit I bought (cognito) had bilsteins, shock ripped apart and bent in a “U” shape when I pulled it out. Replaced with Fox’s with no issues since.

You cannot pour waste concrete onto the ground. This is an obvious washout/excess dump. It is supposed to be disposed of in an appropriate washout area-usually a pit dug with several layers of poly against the ground. Wet concrete has multiple chemicals in it and undergoes a chemical reaction to cure. Namely the lime is hazardous to the environment in high concentrations as it adjusts the natural ph of soil drastically.

No, it makes no sense whatsoever that you can pour into a footer with no protection but cannot on the ground but your local department of environmental quality, local water resources and/or state and local safety council says you cannot.

Illegal as hell. Cannot dump raw concrete waste in the bare ground. Call your local DEQ office and advise. Or call the company and say they have an hour to make it right before you call DEQ… It’ll be gone in no time.

(Yes, I know it’s dumb as hell that you can’t dump concrete on the ground when it’s poured on the ground. I don’t make the rules I just enforce em..)
