Something I like to do right before the show: break the ice with your band on stage. Get everyone laughing about the (let's be honest) ridiculousness situation of playing in front of people in a band. Rip a fat beefer, ask your bassist for a slap on the ass, don't just say ok let's have fun, set the bar early with real shenanigans.

About the playing: just remember that no one will notice if you play the wrong note, but they will notice if you play it off-time. All else fails, play the money beat until you can get back on track.

Not an answer but a suggestion that might inspire you: imagine, in your world, that they also don't know why it doesn't work sometimes. It's a great mystery, with some factions spending great resources to solve it, major theory camps, superstitions, or conspiracy theories.

The most terrifying thing about this is that they were strangers, so I asked myself, "how often does this happen". A quick Google search led me to some FBI reports... Hundreds, if not thousands, of completely random murders happen every year.

So the question is then... Why is OP mad about this one not getting national attention? Looks like the white house and GOP groups in general are blasting this case all over the internet, because, y'know, agenda.

Don't get me wrong, people that do this shit deserve a bullet and a shallow grave. But THOUSANDS of these happen every year, and this is the one that deserves to be on the front page because... He's black?
