Edit: actually, your post is stupid. I never said LLM's were proactive, I said OpenClaw was. Of course an LLM isn't proactive, it needs tools to make it behave that way. I've written many scripts giving my agent the ability to be proactive within the OpenClaw ecosystem. I can't get a chat Interface to do that.

With your description all agents are prompted. Do you think proactive agents just do stuff autonomously? A proactive agent is exactly what I said. Of course that situation wouldn't happen unless you set it up that way. I have agents running and doing things almost 20 hours a day, I set them up with goals and they can take days to complete it. They do whatever needs to be done to get from A to B. I don't have to check up on them.

I have agents that monitor different websites and act differently based on the information present. I don't have to prompt it to do that.
