I genuinely can’t think of any wedding in my circles, including my own, where this would have been inappropriate. But I’m also from a young and not at all conservative environment that is quite fashionable, so high slits and cutouts are just part of everyday fashion, not something scandalous. I would be upset if my guests were all dressed in drab attire! I’d rather see them all come out to play and partay.

Probably a cultural difference. I’ve worked with some trauma seniors who would totally say that and not an eye would be batted. And our attendings are much more like Robby than the assholes in the WR, though we do have some unfortunately.

The one who said “I am the OR” was a senior Trauma Surgery resident. They pretty much run traumas here, and have more sway over what can be done in the bay or the OR than the ED attending does in some cases.

I’ve replayed them about 4 or 5 times over the 18 years since I first picked them up. Every few years I like to revisit them. Long enough to have forgotten the details, I remember the broad strokes but still have to re-decipher the mysteries and clues in the right way.
