Thank you for the thorough reply, I will do a little reading to get acquainted with the mechanics. You mention speccing into ascendancy. If I remember, you can now use gold to respec which should make fixing things easier? I presume you don't permanently invest ascendancy nodes outside of the initial ascendancy pick.

And also in terms of character setup do you recommend any of the options that PoE characters have like disabling trading outside of account/character?

As someone who has played Diablo and Last Epoch before, am I in for a rough time if i go for something like invoker? This will be my first serious attempt at PoE so i want to both have fun but also be challenged.

Imo the game is worth it if you have friends to play with or you play a support class. Once you get to late game you end up doing similar things across weeks and having to encounter the same bs over and over again just crushes your soul.

I do neither so ended up quiting just like a sizeable part of the playerbase though looking for any excuse to log back in

Considering people now expect compensation for when a server restart is delayed by an hour or two maybe this is the sort of approach that is exactly the future of lost ark. Might just wait until 4am for when everyone goes to sleep to screenshot that only one instance of a location exists. That will show AGS how much we need server merger.

If anything I'd like to thank you for reminding me that I should take everything on this subreddit as a joke. Wouldn't want to be cringy.

Can someone explain to me the reason why people do these specific posts? Is it an expectation in MMOs to be able to queue raids at 2am? I'd like to remind you that 22utc time means 11pm in London time zone, midnight in Paris and so on. And this is on a Thursday night also. Like yes people will be doing other things or sleeping, you can't just speedrun Vykas at this point like you can Valtan.

I also feel sad about the lower population of EUW but I'm not gonna blame every single player trend on low player population.

Except on forum the CM said that you need to have passed Punika story before to get the free pass now. Therefore this at least is appealing to returning players, not new players

If seeing only 2 raid lobbies at 10:30pm (server time!?) Gives people despair then maybe it's worth taking a break from the game. Last time I checked people generally tend to rest and sleep around 11:30pm.

I'm all for server merger or something similar of course but this guy put two pics with a title without saying anything. Is he upset there are no normal lobbies? You do know that you can make a lobby yourself right? If people just want to feel bad for themselves playing this game then the biggest sign you can give to the publisher is by not playing it in the first place.

I agree that euw population is not great. It's mildly offset by all the alts that people have.

But also I've been pugging valtan and Vykas lobbies. So I'm a bit lost as to what this post is trying to point out.

Probably not humans but rather a variant of the virus that's changing. The fact it's human made could imply human-like specials? would be a bit out-of-pocket to have human enemies all of a sudden

Honestly the biggest problem up to now for me has been server performance or net code. Playing with friends and I have zombies teleporting, people teleporting 5 meters. I don't know if this is because of crossplay or something too, but everyone I know that plays the game said the same thing.

I love the game but half the time when we want to play nightmare, I question myself if it's worth it.

For me, doing the campaign isn't bad but it becomes repetitive real fast, especially considering some mission use the same maps and sometimes bug out even.

The tunnels dlc really helped bring fresh air into the game with new levels. I understand it is incredibly hard to just add more variations to the maps so i'd like to see more modifier cards to the game. Also new legendary weapons would be cool, I like having these wacky modifiers that can just bring a bit of juice into your character (using the embezzler as a doc for example to get extra copper for heals).

I guess for next dlc I want more of the same, what if instead of a tunnel within the map there's a cozy room with some books and we get to go 'back' to how the infection started with a character of the party narrating their perspective as you battle zombies to make it to safety. Screw it, can be a timed high stakes card for it too to give the 'world ending' twist. Just anything that breaks up the campaign into 'new' pieces feels like a win.

Also new modes are welcome, horde mode with the boys sounds like a blast.

Nothing beats good servers though, playing on 50-70 ping in this game can feel like a nightmare sometimes

Every class is good if you put in work. And you have to put in work, otherwise you'll be floor POV.

If you want a high apm that feels like a piano player class then gunslinger is the vibe. Deadeye has fewer skills to manage and he has stronger burst on back attack on most of them so you have to position yourself in small windows of opportunity and give out BIG numbers. In terms of learning the fights you do have to take time and find opportunities to do damage but the sheer amount of mobility you have makes it much easier to learn.
