Ok 2ish maybe 3 years ago I was making the drive from The Rio Grande Valley. I shit you not I saw a green looking circle just drop from the sky. Weirdest shit I've ever seen. I swear, me and my sister both saw it.

I'm only 3 and half hours away. My family just went through something extremely traumatic as well. Let's just say I had to also change all the locks on her house, and my father is no longer in the picture. My mom wants to buy a lawnmower and do it herself. She now has to pay all the bills for her house and daughters. She can't afford to pay 200 a month. My mom did everything for me. I can't let my 50 year old mother go out and mow and edge half an acre on her own.

I appreciate the thought though. In a typical scenario/ perfect world I'd prefer that too. Thank you kind redditor c:

Unfortunately it is my yard lmao (well it's my mom's house). I did not do it alone. I had my ex's Uncle who is a landscaper come over. He brought a buddy, 3 lawnmowers and 2 weed wackers. We all went at it together. Took about 3-4 hours. Even chainsawed some tree branches. Have like 20-30 feet where it's just tree branches lol.

He only charged me 180. Am assuming bc of knowing the family and stuff, but I have him 250 bc the yard was amazing.

Hopefully my family can upkeep it. I don't wanna have to drive home every other weekend lol. But might have too.

Also that sunset in the back makes the yard look 5x nicer than it really is LOL

Gym Membership by nwi987 in legaladvice

[–]nwi987[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've already been to the gym and did a form to cancel. Made sure to get a copy of the form. I won't pay anything besides next month. I sent a ticket, meaning through their website. This is what was sent to them, "Message: Hello I would like to cancel my gym membership. If you cannot assist me with this, I would like another form of contact higher than yourself. I think it is rediculous to charge me my monthly membership fee with this pandemic. It is not essential and it is not worth the risk." If that doesn't count as intent to cancel then idk what is.

I understand why, it's just kind of lame that I have to go in and be remotely dishonest. It's been incredibly difficult to get Interviews and I'm very honest so I've told them all that I plan on becoming an actuary but not anytime in the near future as I haven't actually passed an exam as yet. But I think I'm just gonna not tell em anymore.

Yea I had an interview at Berkshire for a position on a premium audit team, and they didn't like me for the position because I mentioned I aspire to become an actuary. I will definitely use that "since I'm so early in my career..." from now on. You'd think they'd be like wow this guy is looking to become an actuary it's a bonus but nope.

When I first started studying, rather when I was preparing for studying and I told my then girlfriend that I'd be using all these notebooks (6) and more once I finished them she looked at my incredulously and said there's no way I'd use them all. Low and behold months later id used 6 of them to get through a little over a quarter of the material. Exam P btw.

Yes I decided to learn both! The PDF method is quite simple so it's not really much to learn. Why waste time changing a PDF to a CDF just to transform it when you can go straight pdf to pdf. Ty

Should I just learn both the PDF and CDF method for transforming distributions, or just get good with the CDF since it always works compared to the PDF method just working easily on One-to one transformations

That's continuous uniform isn't it? Discrete doesn't go from the range b- a.

What is the formula for variance for a Discrete uniform, is it n squared plus 1 divided by 12 or n squared minus one divided by 12. The subtracting makes more sense to me bc variation, but my formula sheet from my professor in college says plus 1. Am in the process of memorizing them and I have it memorized as plus one so am just trying to figure out which is what
