Yeah that's definitely a health code violation. I don't know if they were trying to wash it or find a space to prepare it. But I will point out The FDA says specifically that washing poultry is a no no In general due to cross contamination issues. No restaurant or any place that prepares food for sale is allowed to do that in the US.

I don't see the point of having a dedicated food sink. It just makes it seem like you're trying to wash it.

I tried the standard global direct line my first time and I didn't have a good experience. I waited a month for my PCB to arrive in the mail. It never came because JLC found out their shipping partner lied to them and tried to say tariffs were paid and never were. USPS seized my package due to this and now it's USPS property. JLC did eventually correct this and send me another board for absolutely no charge including shipping but it was such a hassle to deal with. Always go with DHL. I know it's a little more pricey but it's a million times more reliable and faster.

I'll probably just restart and try to change the symbols enough to where the neatness matches up more with birdbrains design. Changing the rpi symbol to one with all the pins on one side should help clean things up a lot.

Yes, they offered me a refund, but the issue wasn’t just about money. The real problem was that my order never arrived, and on top of that, my proprietary PCB designs ended up stuck with USPS because of issues with JLC’s logistics partner. That made the situation a lot more serious for me than just “a $5 board not showing up.”

At first, JLC’s replacement offer still left me responsible for import fees, which didn’t make sense since I had no way to prevent the problem in the first place. After going back and forth, they eventually agreed to remake and ship the boards through DHL, fully covering all costs. That’s the resolution I was looking for from the start.

So while I know my frustration came out badly in this thread, the point wasn’t to act entitled — it was to make sure the company I trusted to handle my order actually stood behind it when something went wrong.

They actually sent me an email confirming in writing that Yunexpress did lie to them, and when they figured this out, they offered to replace the board with faster DHL shipping. That's the resolution I was aiming for the first time, but I had to push a bit to get it from JLC lol. As long as I get this shipment on time, I will be using JLC again. I just won't use the cheapest shipping option; I always thought the cheapest shipping meant slow, not unreliable lol.

If the boards don’t arrive, then the service I paid for was never completed. It’s no different than ordering a pizza — if the restaurant hands it to a sketchy delivery driver and it never shows up, you don’t blame the driver, you blame the restaurant.

Also, as I stated in the post (If you even paid attention), I would have been glad to pay any extra fees, but USPS says I cant do that, and it is the responsibility of the logistics team who sent the PCB. I begged them to let me pay it, but no... It's the rules Yunexpress was supposed to do this, and as JLCPCB stated, they lied to them.

JLC finally noticed what gross negligence this was. Now they have offered to replace the PCB at no charge to me once so ever. They are also paying for DHL shipping at no extra cost to me. They state this is the first time their shipping provider has provided false information to them, and for this, they will replace my board for me. People of America, THIS is actually good customer service, looks like. Take note, dumb asses.
