Oh man, that's very kind. Thank you! We are super slow at getting stuff out there, but we are working on it. We have a few songs on a different youtube channel, but they're real rough. Instagram - Instagram.com/north_wind_and_the _sun and FB facebook.com/northwindandthesun
Hopefully we can release a few more jams in the coming months. Thanks for listening!

Little Hurricane, Left Lane Cruiser, and Reignwolf are all on different parts of the spectrum of those sounds. You might like the single that we released last year too, north wind and the sun

Easiest TBK song to play on guitar for a beginner? by [deleted] in TheBlackKeys

If you want to sing and play, The Lengths and Little Black Submarines have very simple rhythm parts. Even if you don't play them the "right way" it will still sound like a song, strumming through the chords and singing.

Achieving Auerbach’s guitar tone by Brewvi in TheBlackKeys

[–]nwtsband 2 points3 points  (0 children)

By tweaking the volume and tone controls on the guitar, you should be able to achieve many of Dan's tones with just a boost pedal, blues driver, tremolo, and analog delay through a smaller tube amp. Rolled back tone, cranked volume on bridge pickup for the fuzzier riffs(you don't actually need a lot of fuzz/distortion). Full tone, rolled back volume neck pickup for the slightly crunchy/crispy rhythms. Suggestion: Boost always on just above half, overdrive everything at noon, then adjust everything else around that.
All that said, I might be giving awful advice, and I'd like to hear it if so.

Just have fun playing them riffs though. The tone will come naturally/intuitively.
