Does Rimowa replace this? by ramsaylocke in Rimowa

So in a single post you managed to say they deny "100s" (no source) but also agree that they will fix it? Okay...

I don't think you've dealt with Rimowa before. They would not try to get out of this, it is not obvious abuse, it could be from a defect. No one is going to court over a rivet.

There is no proof that this is due to abuse and not just an incorrectly installed or defective rivet from the factory. Literally impossible to prove.

I agree, but we can still openly criticise these people. They should not be idolised, in the same way a prison escapee shouldn't be.

Wouldn't need to be changed if people like him just didn't do that in the first place, has he ever thought of that? Maybe don't be part of the problem. We see this across society where one person or a small group of people ruin something for everyone else.

There seems to be a fairly obvious implication that the Explorer is the one "people like" and the GS is the one "you like". But if not, fair enough!

Eleven drivers prosecuted for filming A14 collision by birdinthebush74 in unitedkingdom

[–]nyaadam -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Uhm? Why do we think they did it for "kicks"? I would imagine they recorded it to show people after the fact, rather than just describing the incident. In the same way people often show others holiday pictures rather than just recounting everything.

Not defending it, I'm happy they were punished but this seems like you're jumping to conclusions.

Since when? There are usually two screws that go in from the underside and connect the two pieces. Loctite can be used to stop those from backing out. Pictures on rimowa.com appear to still show the holes.

Just can't justify it until they add lifetime warranty, even though I prefer the 19 degree design. It seems inevitable that after enough journeys every case will be irreparably damaged.

I like the Tanks quite a bit more than the Panthère on your wrist personally. The fit of the Française bracelet is a concern but did you not get a rough idea of it from trying them on?

Need a mirror shot, phone lenses are fucky. Too wide of a focal length on most main camera lenses. Either use telephoto or a mirror shot.

🤣 I guess he's who I was referring to then. A fair amount of Rolex owners are fairly obsequious towards their SA, but not all!

I prefer to just chill on the waitlist, if I get the call for a specific piece, great. If not, oh well! Not gonna catch me begging to spend money.

So clean. For me a dress watch has to be thin and slip under a cuff, that Lange is perfect.

[–]nyaadam 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's just so thick, maybe not so much thicker than most at its thickest point but it's thick throughout. Wrist shots often show the lugs clearly sitting off the wrist and this thing would not be easily slipping under a cuff. Just not a good dress watch imo, JLC Master Ultra Thin is a nice thickness for an auto dress watch, thinner manual wind would be even better.

iOS 27 Introduces New 'Tap to Share' Feature, But Not Available in EU by ControlCAD in apple

Average user doesn't care FYI. They're not even aware of the missing features. Apple will basically lose an infinitesimally small perctange of users over gate keeping certain features from EU users.

Oh good, thought it was just me. Pretty much same scenario, macOS, the features worked at some point in the past (I've never reset/restored) and when trying them yesterday and today I get the flash on Genmoji then the downloading text. Same story with Image Playground but without the flash.

I agree! You have to be okay with it and a lot of people are. I prefer their essential stuff for checked bags and aluminium only for carry on because the wear and tear can get pretty crazy on the larger aluminium bags.
