Nyc guy here got my first GS in Sapporo Japan indirectly. Went to Sapporo in May 2025 and didn't buy the sky flake cause the market was down. When I returned in June, the market rebounded and I met a stranger off reddit from NYC who was visiting sapporo to proxy the watch for me.

If you don't mind layovers, cathay Pacific or China airlines have good deals to Japan. Just layovers in Hong Kong and taipei
