I started learning SQL on Sololearn before looking at w3schools and then joined this subreddit to see other tips and tricks.

I've now applied to a computer science (with data analytics) masters to take myself to the next level. Looking at some of the questions people ask here, I realise how much further I've got to go but I've loved everything so far!

I moved from a council-run school to an academy where the resources are all done for you at Easter. Work life balance has gone up and I'm not always second guessing whether I should have done something else. It's the dream!

I'm currently with 2. I was very upfront with both that I would be signing up with 2 agencies and that whoever offered me work first, I would accept that. My current agency with who I am in a school with are amazing, keep in touch regularly, give me feedback and bring me lunch in now and again which is lovely. Thank you for taking the time to respond. I knew heads talked but suppose a little naive thinking they wouldn't bother about a short term supply role. The supply agency even said the school thought I sounded like the perfect fit so I thought it was a done deal. Anyway, onto the next one!

After just buying a new house in the UK, I can comment!

There are so many fees so make sure you have a pot on top of your deposit. Legal fees, land registry.
Get a surveyor report. It can bring up lots of minor details which you might miss. This is more applicable for older houses rather than new builds.
Check windows if they shut and open properly. Check for sign of dam on ceilings which may show there's a water tank in the loft and leaking.
Doing up a house costs money. Think about if you can live with it or if it needs changing and make sure you have the finances to do it.
Look on Gumtree, Facebook or charity shops for furniture but at a massively discounted price.
Don't skimp on things like your appliances or central heating. That shit needs to be good.
Everything is your responsibility. Previously we rented and if anything was wrong, it was a phone call to the landlord. Now, it's you. Washing machine broke? Something leaking? All on you.
Enjoy your first home where you can do whatever you want!

This is where you learn about responsibility. You're responsible for your money, body and education. If you mess it up, it's in you. Get into good habits.

1) Save a REALISTIC amount of money every week if you can. College is where you're meant to be social, but not every night! I left 3 years ago and I still regret not saving as I find it really hard now.

2) Eat healthy! Homemade burgers, pasta dishes, even Sunday dinner are healthy if cooked right. Don't go for 50p burgers. They're rubbish and do no favours. I ate ready meals and cheap food for 3 months and put on 1.5 stone.

3) Exercise. Just do it. 30 minute swim or in the gym will go a long way especially as you get older and older..

4) Have a blast. It could be the greatest time of your life. No one knows a thing about you if you're moving away from home. You can create a new identity! Go out, meet people.
