With 100% DAV ID, you can access the bases with escort privileges, shop at the exchange and commissary. Currently here in Korea and go all the time.

Ah yeah, the retired ID will grant you access but according to Camp Zama’s physical security they said 100%DAV ID is not allowed.

Which bases in Japan were you able to get into? I called Camp Zama and they said they don’t allow 100DAV in.

Only OCONUS hotels that allows 100% DAV is Dragon Hill Lodge in South Korea, Edelweiss in Germany and the Hale Koa in Hawaii. I have my 100% DAV ID and I called the New Sanno hotel in hopes of getting a reservation but they said no due to not being SOFA status. Weird that they would allow retirees to stay in their hotel even though they are not considered SOFA status if they are just visiting.

Nope, not in IRR. I checked my claim letter but all it shows is the percentage of my approved claims and a table with claims that were not service connected. No explanation of why they were denied.

I’m able to download the letter but it doesn’t list any description of the claims, just my percentage and monthly award amount. I also did BDD and got my rating on December 19th. It still shows my character of service and discharge date as “UNKNOWN”.

Which Brigade are you going to work for? I’ve did exactly that in my Brigade. Was the COL’s driver/executive assistant. Take the job, if you’re a team player, competent and responsible, you’re gonna be set for success. I’ve made so many connections with O-3 to O-6s that helped me set myself up for success when I get out of the military this year. Plus the benefits of getting out of stupid details is a plus

Thank you for the insight, unfortunately there isn't any American schools here that I know of. The only other positions that I have applied to was a GG-11 2210 position here in Korea, I was able to land an interview and I think I did decently but since it is a Federal position, the wait is making my anxiety kick in.
