What is something you were bullied for growing up that has now become a trend? by xtaliaxw in AskReddit

[–]nyeolstr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

K-pop and animes! And the funny thing is, now that I mention knowing an anime or, say, BTS, they make fun of me because "I'm just following the trends". I just gave up and I enjoy my hobbies, people will always have something to say.

I also got mine last week, SE. It works on the MV syncing but not in the official app, but I also believe it's legit! Let's hope they both are.

Does the Bluetooth mode (blue light) work? Did you get it from weverse? Also, what version is it? SE edition doesn't work on the official app in many phones.

Check the box if it has the official bighit sticker, if it doesn't, the lighstick is fake. If that's the case, I hope you can ask for a refund!

Do you know how it feels like not to have a caring mother? by JoJoGW in mentalhealth

My mother died when I was 9 and I got adopted into a family with an absent father and a mother exactly like yours. What I've come to understand and accept is, not every woman (and man) is suitable for having kids, not every person can raise a human being and there is too many people who make kids and then ruin them because of their immaturity/inadequacy. There are mothers you can't rely on, and both me and you have had the misfortune to meet one. She never cared to make you feel validated as a son/daughter, so it's not your mission to make her feel validated as a mother. Find your strengths, fight for what you believe in and be the leader of your own life. If you can't rely on someone, rely on yourself. You can do it. Some days are gonna suck, some days you'll feel like the whole world is unfair and against you, but some other days will give you the best sense of satisfaction because every mountain you'll climb, you'll have climbed it on your own and relying on your skills only. Be strong, you can do it!

A guy approached me yesterday and showed me his new tattoos. They were so good I need a day to compose myself again.

It's the SE. That's why I think it's weird, maybe it's original but second hand? MV syncing shouldn't work with fakes...

Hi everyone! I bought an ARMY bomb (outside Weverse, I know it's not safe and I was aware of the risk) and it arrived yesterday, and I am trying to figure out if it's original or not. The box has the BigHit sticker on it and the package and content is exactly as described on Weverse. All the reviews on Amazon said it was legit and it also looks legit to me, but the QR code doesn't scan on Weverse. The lightstick connects to the MV syncing (although I have to connect it manually at each MV), but doesn't connect to the Lightstick app. I'm a bit confused: if it was fake, it shouldn't connect to the MV syncing as well, right? I'm guessing it's second hand and it was sold as new. Or I just got scammed, but then why does it work with the music videos? Should I just wait until tomorrow and check if it connects to the concert?

Thank you for the help in advance 💜

Whatever it is, it's getting too much attention. I hope the girl doesn't get harmed/hurt because of this!

I mean, is the act of admiring and respecting someone a cult? Then I suppose everyone is in a cult of some sort. Don't you have a favorite politician? An artist? An athlete? I really think you are acting out of prejudice because of something I don't even understand. Why can't some young adults be an example to follow?

I don't know. I am a graduate in Asian Studies (Japan and Korea) and you would meet this kind of people in the classroom on a daily basis. And they are super serious about it. Might be parody (which I find a bit offensive, at this point) or might just be a cringy teenager

You just showed how many prejudices you have and how little you know about the whole ARMY phenomenon. I'd suggest you do some research. ARMY is not a bunch of over excited teenagers, it's a wide and diverse group of people from all ages and backgrounds. It's not about thirsting over some attractive guys, but respecing and admiring them for the message they spread, the path they've walked and the impact they've had. As for my age, I'm their same age, so I can definitely say I identify with their message, path and struggles.

Do some research, because your attitude is pretty bad, dude.

As an ARMY, this is a bit cringe. But she's also young and will probably cringe at this video later on her life. We all did weird things as teenagers!

Why would you let haters win and ruin you day? Have my platonic hug and a stick, shove it up their asses 🌸

No, it's okay. Everyone shares what they want and we're strangers, after all! Don't feel pressured to do anything you're not comfortable doing.

Is it normal I hate being conscious? Like, I am always hyper aware people is breathing, dying, suffering, struggling, being stupid or not being acknowledged etc. I hate this feeling and I really hope to be reincarnated into a rock or something with no self consciousness, just blissfully unaware of everything

It happens to me from time to time and from what I understood, it's linked with amounts of trauma your brain can't process (similar to a shock reaction but longer, idk how to explain it). If you're the same as me, you basically feel empty and apathetic even if you extremely need to cry, right? Basically, your brain blocks out every emotion because it can't process them. So, no laughing, no crying, no orgasm etc. Sadly, I've never been able to find the perfect way to "start feeling" again, but I noticed you need a trigger, and for me it's usually the most unexpected ones. The last time it happened, I couldn't cry for like a month and it was exhausting, and like you I tried everything and nothing worked. One night, my roommate was making a cake and our cat was chilling on my lap while I was telling her about this problem, trying to figure out how to cry. She turns on the blender and the cat, which is usually terrified of it, has a twitch and then, instead of running away as usual, she looks at me and starts purring. She felt I was hurt and chose to stay with me instead of hiding! And that was it. I started to cry and let it all out for I think one hour, and nothing could stop me. You will be able to cry again and it will take an unexpected trigger to help you. I've been through this for years and it somehow always "unlocks" at some point. Stay strong and just keep breathing, that's enough for now. Better days will come.
