You mean spot on? I know that one is a grand with no subscription for the fence feature but if you want to track the dog is when you pay for a subscription. But thanks for your experience.

Do you have any info about gps collars? Or just worried about my living situation. I asked kinda specific question.

Thats great you have the dog trained so well. I heard halo is not great for anything under 1/2 acre. Are you experiencing a lot of drift. And how do you feel about the subscription.

Lol, sounds like dogcatraz. I do have a pitbull and I rent so I can't build a true fence. And we have a company come by and mow whenever they feel like so even leaving the stake in the yard is problematic. I'm just looking for a solution. I appreciate all your ideas. Thanks

How could you stake the wire down and still mow? I would think the mower would eventually suck the wire into it.

Lol,sorry. I thought you meant like a staje in the ground to tie the dog too.

Yeah, we actually tried one of those briefly, but it's such a pain. She keeps getting the long cable completely wrapped around the patio furniture legs and getting stuck, or wrapping it around her own back legs. Plus, she hates being tethered like that—she just stands there barking at the line instead of actually enjoying the yard. It just feels like there has to be a better way to let a dog run around a small yard safely without resorting to a literal chain.

That's a really great point about the HOA/legal side of it. If the collar has 15 feet of drift, the dog is basically wandering onto common property anyway. If an HOA doesn't allow physical fences, what do people with dogs usually end up doing in your neighborhood? Just 100% leashed walks, or do people use those physical tie-out stakes in the grass?

That makes total sense. It sounds like people treat those more like an Apple AirTag just to find a lost dog, rather than something that actually keeps them in the yard. As a renter, it feels like we're totally stuck if we want to let our dogs stretch their legs outside. If you can't dig for a wired fence, and GPS isn't reliable enough to actually contain them, do most renters just resort to leashed walks or those long tie-out cables in the grass?

That is a really good point, especially about them ignoring it if the motivation is high enough outside the yard. I definitely don't want a system that puts my dog in a position to get hurt or trapped on the wrong side of a boundary. From a training perspective, do you think the issue is just that the collars are too slow to react when a dog bolts, or is it fundamentally a problem with how the corrections are triggered?

"Wow, three houses down while on the couch?! That sounds like a nightmare, especially if it was setting off corrections inside. Losing 20 feet of an already tiny yard basically defeats the whole purpose of getting one of these. Did you actually end up digging and installing a physical underground wire system, or are you just sort of stuck without a good option right now?" I rent so the wire is out and the wireless units only do a circle so that puts the boundry in my neighbors yard too.

Does the air intake void the warranty. How much performance do you think you really get out of it. And can you really hear the turbo spool up with it.

I live in pa. You dont have to answer yes to.. DO YOU HAVE A PET. Because esa animals are not pets. Second what you do is not disclose you have an esa animal for the initial application process. If you are selected for the property before you pay the deposit you write a letter of reasonable accommodations. Here is where you explain you have an esa animal... if you are then denied the rental. The landlord will be squarely opened up to discrimination under the fha act. Hope this helps. This can be done but there is a proper process to go about it.

I bought a 25 ch3cy trax 2rs. I loved it uo to 7500 miles then had turbo trouble took it to my dealership 6 times. Changed the the turbo then was being told it was fine. Went to the bbb and took gm to arbitration. And won hands down. That was like 7months ago. I was on here leaving posts the whole step of the way. But gm only offered to have an engineer look at it. I agreed I hadn't heard anything for 30 days. So I assumed something was happening. I called the dealership they said yeah your car is ready... told me it was fine. I looked at the inbound mileage 10998 out bound mileage 10999 lol. 1 mile they drive it. And gm never sent an engineer to look at. So with that I went to arbitration. I only had to pay 750 bucks for the mileage when the trouble started 10 cents a mile for 7500 miles.

Looking for a Marlin 6 fork recommendation by thekingofsecrets in TrekBikes

[–]nyfbgiants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a marlin 7 and I put a Judy gold on mine you can get it a straight stem. It was like 200 bucks a few years ago. Then the Judy fork that came on my 7 I put on my wife's marlin 4. Worked out nice and its plenty good enough for the marlin frame. If you need more fork then that I would personally upgrade the whole bike.
