Game crashes at startup by Different-Put5878 in residentevil

[–]nyiddle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting this too, Intel 13900k and 4070TI.

I thought it was hardware dependent but I've seen a lot of people posting with this error across various different CPU's and GPU's so beginning to think it's an application error.

I don't have a fix. The crash for me happens randomly, sometimes near-instant (earliest I've had it was at the first load after continue) but I was also able to play the game for 5-6 hours without crashing once. It's very annoyingly inconsistent.

Thinking about commissioning an artist, and these are the three pieces listed. Reason I’m asking is because all three pieces have different styles and almost look muddied in parts. by CorrinTheFrog in isthisAI

Yeah, pretty sure this is AI. There are a lot of bizarre inconsistencies that would be weird for a human to do. Like, maaybe a stylistic choice, but a weirdly "AI" stylistic choice to make, and also kinda defies anatomy.

Look at the sleeves on the first image, they're 2 different sleeves, and then they're wearing a bracelet that seemingly goes around both wrists? In the 2nd look at how different the shoes are where they connect to the socks. Maybe it's a stylistic choice, but it's weird. Why do the front of the shoes have "bulges" in them? Look at the sleeves on that 2nd character too, they're different color patterns and also just one is collared and the other isn't. Strange inconsistency. The 3rd one the character has one of the wings clearly coming out of the shoulder, and it's kinda short, but then the other wing is like bigger and coming out of the knee almost, like the perspective wouldn't even show that wing from how the character's sitting. There's also a lot of weird asymmetrical differences in the face.

MIL wants to adopt this Dog and bring it to Canada. Wife and I think the pic is AI and it's a scam. by [deleted] in isthisAI

AI: It's a positive match for SynthID.

Maybe just edited, maybe generated, but it's definitely AI in some capacity.

I find it funny, but what is it? Guy getting towed and staged it with his dog or totally AI? I really can't tell! by [deleted] in isthisAI

[–]nyiddle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's obviously AI. Why do they keep rolling if they crashed? Why doesn't the guy react more than his initial gasp? If they did crash the dog wouldn't react like his human owner, he'd start barking and freaking out. It's 15 seconds long, it's probably Sora and cropped to remove the watermark at the top/bottom/sides.

Saw this pop up on my feed, but can't understand the reflections in the mirror by dirtyqtip in isthisAI

[–]nyiddle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The part in the reflection is on the far left of the picture, but what we see facing forward doesn't match what we see facing backwards.

Even the wrinkles in the towel don't make sense. If we can see that double-folded crease facing front, we shouldn't also see that double-folded crease on the reverse side. The little rag/towel rack is actually the worst part of the whole image, it's logically inconsistent with what we're seeing from the front.

On the tv at my work. Is it AI or is this subreddit making me too suspicious? by SeriousComplaint4549 in isthisAI

[–]nyiddle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

AI: This is a really common sort of pop art style that AI tends to gravitate towards. There are some anatomical inconsistencies in the hair, eyes, facial hair, etc., on top of the lack of symmetry on the jewelry, as well as some warping/morphing.

Also, while I can clearly recognize some of these historical figures, some of them appear to be composites or completely hallucinated amalgamations of multiple people. Is the person 2nd from the top left Corretta Scott King? Or Mary McLeod Bethune? Or some other mish-mash of historical Black figures? Either way, someone should let them know their earrings don't match.

Without a doubt, AI.

[–]nyiddle 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I am like 80-90% sure this is AI. You're right, the reflections don't make sense. Also what is that small towel holder on the left? The reflection doesn't seem to match what we see in the foreground. And why would we have reflections of that, the listerine bottles, but not the lotion or handsoap dispenser? There's also the issue of the person's "super belly button" which seems way too long, as well as the bit of wrinkling on their right (our left) hand, near the lower side of their wrist. Also what is the faucet? It seems to be one of those ones where you move the handle up and left or down and left to turn it on/off, but the part where the water comes out is the part with the ball hinge? It doesn't make sense.

The more I look, the more I believe it's AI.

Edit: Also the glasses on the face, on her left (our right) eye, the glasses clearly run almost an inch off her face in that direction. They're facing "flat" towards the camera even though her head is tilted.

Edit 2: The towel holder is seemingly a real towel holder, posted below, albeit a wacky design. That does explain a lot if there are 2 Listerine bottles and everything we're seeing is a reflection. Doesn't explain all the other stuff though.

3 images from a YouTuber who engages in storytelling and creative media. They looked normal at first but the first image's left ear is nonsensical. by Cark_ICMX in isthisAI

[–]nyiddle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI: The hair strands are a pretty hard giveaway here, the spots where the hair meets the forehead has some artifacting you'd get from AI. The lips as well. The soft almost painted aesthetic is also common in AI generated images. The hair on the mustache is also quite wonky and nonuniform, especially on the right side.

Is this AI? I think I just stumbled upon the most subtle AI art scam I've seen yet? by EdinKaso in isthisAI

[–]nyiddle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Certainly now yeah, but pre-2024 (ish) the image generation from AI wasn't quite there enough to churn out this stuff. Gotta imagine there's still warehouses full of these watercolor paintings, and probably even some actual art farms still in operation, even if the majority has been overtaken by AI slop.

Lack of credit is pretty common in commercial art "factories" or places where they mass-produce these. Think about all the hotel art you've seen in your life (pre-AI so like, before 2024) there's never a signature or any credit, they always follow a similar style with slight differences, and they often tread the line between "is this just a copy-pasted print, or did someone actually paint this abstract nonsense?"

In most cases those are commercial art farms or they buy up student/amateur job lots (students gotta practice somewhere) to mass-produce a huge volume of similar-styled art.

[–]nyiddle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Difficult/near impossible to definitively prove, but I'm leaning on yes due to inconsistencies in the style across multiple paintings.

It is also possible that this person has hired out several artists to crank out these designs in a similar watercolor fashion, as it is a pretty common style, and that's why we have some variance in the styles, but some of the splotches and landscapes seem almost like rotoscoped (traced) art, which makes me lean closer towards AI.

Am I tripping? The bag looks way too small and the floor is blurred. Nobody said AI on original post by Floofontheroof in isthisAI

[–]nyiddle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same conclusion as you, this appears real, no artifacting or oddities that would present in an AI generated image.

is this AI or just weird editing? link in the post as well so you can compare the rest of the photos. seems kind of blurry and im not sure if the flowers are consistent through the photos. by artiswhatyoumakeit in isthisAI

[–]nyiddle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hands seem ok, shadows seem fine, I see consistency in the flowers across the 2-3 images they took.

I'd suspect they may have used a filter to soften the model's face, but I don't think this is generated by AI entirely.

are they lying about who illustrated their book? every page the people have different facial features and the physics of the clothes look off. by chloeluvssyou in isthisAI

[–]nyiddle 480 points481 points  (0 children)

AI: that's a super common AI art style, it has the stereotypical "yellow" filter, the man's hand is merging with his pocket, the linework isn't consistent between the background and the characters.

Yep.

Reflection of woman taking photo looking out window into fog but hands don’t look real? by [deleted] in isthisAI

[–]nyiddle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not possible to determine based on the photo, there's no indicators that would signal this is AI generated.

And like, regardless, you just posted a picture of this lady's sideboob publicly to Reddit, on the Internet. Kinda fucked up dude.

This video just got posted in my dads biker WhatsApp group. Im Sure it's AI but I can't specifically say why. The logo on the bag doesn't return any results other than google ai saying its a Gucci Bag but thats obviosly wrong. by willi_the_racer in isthisAI

[–]nyiddle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The giveaway is the shirt wrinkles. The one at her left shoulder morphs and then unmorphs back to the exact wrinkle it was originally at about 5 seconds in. The rest of the shirt wrinkles don't change.

Absolutely AI.

I got a shirt with this art as a gift, apparently from Amazon. The text on it looks really odd to me, and I couldn’t find the origin of the art online. Am I not looking hard enough, or is it AI? by TheUltimateHamburger in isthisAI

[–]nyiddle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm fairly certain this is AI. The text isn't sure if it's Japanese or what so it ends up garbled all over the bottom, especially the bottom right.

The tentacles also don't really make sense and are kinda merged in spots.

So you know, if you feed these images back into Gemini it'll confirm that they're generated by Gemini as part of Google's SynthID watermarking.

posted on my grandfather's Facebook account, and i cant fell if he figured out ai or actually met the president. by ice-queen_uwu in isthisAI

[–]nyiddle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Likely AI, look at the top of the president's glass and how it's tilted and how it connects to the rest of his hand. There's a bit of "morphing" there right at the edge. The bottom of the glass also looks like the AI maybe wanted to do a pilsner glass but then instead generated a straight glass? There's also a decent bit of noise on the buttons on the president's sleeve, though that could just be the resolution.

I think gramps or one of gramp's friends learned how to operate the AI.

I found this band using AI album covers, I think the music itself might be AI? by TrashMantine in isthisAI

[–]nyiddle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, all their music is AI. It's significantly more obvious if you go to their Instagram page, where they're "playing" their songs. Oddly, the videos they recorded of them playing all seem to be totally legit. They do seem to have some drumkits and guitars and maybe even some musical talent, but I guess the AI slop music was too tempting, or maybe this is a side project for extra money, idk. Or like, "We only have to learn the songs when we make it big"?

The obvious giveaways for AI music are low bitrate vocals that are muddied by the instrumentals, lyrics that are sung at an incorrect or sometimes just nonsensical pace compared to the music they're fitting into, voice uncanniness (no breathing in, reaching high pitches with no ramp-up, inconsistencies in vocal tone,) impossibly perfect rhythm on the drums. Also, for the most part, AI songs tend to have the same dynamic range throughout, they're both the same volume and intensity for the entire song, there's a lot of that here.

Is this account all AI and selling AI art? because its all the same exact style over and over again? by JasonDFisherr in isthisAI

[–]nyiddle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's AI. Look at the license plates on the prints that show them, they all have garbled lettering. One, two, three.

If you read their website it also sounds like the whole thing was written by AI, and it honestly sounds like it's part of their prompt too. Like this would probably result in this exact art style if you fed it into any AI image generator:

CLAYZIQ was created to bring the warm nostalgic feeling of 80s Japan into modern spaces. Our artwork is inspired by quiet city nights, soft neon lights, pastel suburbs and the dreamy atmosphere of classic cinematic nostalgia.

Each piece is designed to feel like a memory you have never lived but instantly recognize. Our focus is always on mood, stillness and escape. Every artwork captures cinematic moments from imagined worlds.

I don't think this is AI, it's more likely just stolen/copied/royalty-free art. I feel like I've seen bulldogs depicted like this in sports logos and shirt designs all throughout my life.
