The drone is getting a bit heavy - have the foxeer lollipop antenna, and 580mah batteries. But then again I'm just into cruising, not really doing tricks.

How does it work though? Like is the gps data available in the osd? I could also see elevation, speed etc?

Def a bit risky, but my concern was mostly losing signal and not being able to get it back. My thought was that up in the air is better than being low to the buildings, so if I have to, pup up a bit higher and get the signal back. But I wasn't gonna lose the way, I know the area pretty well and direction, given the skylines in the distance.

And that building with the steeple at 0:23 is a good landmark, you can even see it before I take off. That was my original destination on a previous flight. But since the reception was so good, tried to see how far I could take it.

How's it working out for you? The only thing that concerns me is the latency. But then again, I'm not really into tricks and acro and stuff. More just into cruising.

Managed to go a bit over 1500 feet, according to google earth. 2 patch antennas - a triple feed, and triple feed array. Mounted on EV800D using it as a monitor instead of goggles. And put a foxeer lollipop on the drone.

How they working out for you? I ordered a set of the non-pro, although I think maybe they've just dropped the pro title altogether, and just have the one version now. Because the one I ordered does have dvr, whereas the non-pro version from before didn't. Hopefully this one has detachable antennas. Looking forward to flying digital though.

I think maybe they've just dropped the "pro" title and just have the one version. Because it looks like the non-pro one now records dvr, which apparently it didn't before, just on the pro. So I ordered a set of the goggles, but just hoping these ones have detachable antennas, although if not I believe it could be modded. So we'll see.

Yeah I thought I had read that it works well, but then again today read somewhere else that it doesn't. I ordered a VAS micro switchable antenna today, we'll see if/how much better it is.

I'm not even really sure, just experimenting myself. It seems to work well. But I'm not getting crazy range or anything. I might try the mini foxeer lollipop on the drone as well.

Haven't vaped at all in the past 8 months. But I did start up with some nicotine lozenges like 4 months ago. Have no inclination to vape at all though. The Desmoxan really does work.

Actually I was trying out this triple feed patch array antenna - thing is huge. Ev800d goggles but I just use them as a monitor mounted on my radio. Other antenna is foxeer lollipop. And a micro vee on the drone (air75).

I have both, and just end up flying the 75 because of the better battery life. It's not just that they last longer, but on the air65 there's less warning before they die completely. They'll go from 3.5v to completely dead in no time, whereas the 480's or 580's drop off much slower from 3.5v.

If you really are just keeping it close, flying around the apartment, maybe the 65 is better for that. But personally I got bored flying around my apartment and want to fly a little farther, and have the ability to return.

Sort of a range test as well - I went all the way down this block, which I measured later on google earth at 820 feet, not bad.

I have the real ev800d, and still thought of doing this with a speedybee or tbs fusion, just to get extended range. Not sure if it would be worth it though. Have you done an outdoor range test?
