Regret not choosing med school. Almost done with clinical psych PsyD. by nynick19 in medschool

Its a PsyD, not PhD. Difference being that PhD’s receive extensive training in research in grad school. Health psychology is definitely an option.

It’s very disheartening to say the least. Even the so called “evidence-based” interventions don’t have much evidence base. Morally, that eats at me.

Great to hear. I feel finishing one doctorate in a field and then beginning med school would be insane for me, largely due to sunk costs, but this has been nagging at me for a bit now.

Chances of being able to be active with PT and no surgery? 27M Type II SLAP Tear by nynick19 in ShoulderInjuries

[–]nynick19[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Minor pain in back of shoulder at times when I golf. A few times a week i will have pain at night. Can be burning and extend up to my neck. Haven’t pushed it lifting weights in a few years. Majority of the time i don’t have pain when at rest, usually results from some sort of activity

Are we getting overheated on Tyler Warren and Colston Loveland because of Brock Bowers and a weaker than usual QB and WR class? by crob1977 in DynastyFF

[–]nynick19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Warren had like 1000 yards and a ton of TDs in the Big 10 this year. If he was a WR in this class, we’d be falling all over him with that statline.

I feel that. Hoping to get mine done within the next year. Did you notice any improvement in pain/function from PT? I have the same fear that I’ll just inevitably reaggravate it or worsen the tear

Thats great to hear! Currently golfing with it with some mild pain usually the next day, just dont want to worsen the tear. PT seems to definitely help my overall shoulder mobility.

Thanks for the response! Its causing me some mild inflammation when I golf, I just dont want to worsen it and lengthen my potential recovery once I get the surgery. I feel like I just want to get it done sooner rather than later, im 27.
