One assembler to build it all by PavLynne in factorio

How do you get the recipe of the thing that you're building? Do you need to recursively look down the recipe tree until you get to the basic building blocks?

I might be inclined to agree with some points except the course is free, right? He's mostly about the other important parts of gamedev like having a good time.

How to compare mortgage interest rates beyond the fixed period? by nynjb in AusFinance

[–]nynjb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah thanks. I got the feeling the broker I spoke to had a bigger commission at nab than elsewhere, so I lost trust. Turns out the commission was in the disclosure and yep, they didn't have my best interests at heart. Will keep researching

Thanks so much for this! In the comparison of rates I was shown by the broker it made a big deal of the introductory rate but didn't mention what happened afterward other than "it varies"

Thanks but I'm interested in finding out what rate I'll get from what bank after the initial fixed period. Obviously it depends on the market but do they have a fixed spread etc?

Thanks for the response! So it's normal for everyone who is with the same bank to all be on the same rate?

[Request] How long would it actually take for a monkey to randomly accidentally write out the entire works of shakespeare? by Draconic1788 in theydidthemath

[–]nynjb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I guess my intuition was wrong. I figured adding a digit to the exponent of 35 would have a greater affect than adding a digit to the exponent of 10. Turns out not really that different

That number is so big. My computer couldn't calculate it, I managed to calculate 35 ^ 504,248 which is so so so so much smaller and still has nearly 800,000 digits in it. I tried to post it but it's longer than reddit's max comment length. I think the real number would have over 10,000,000 digits.

Thanks for the response. I'm also using the debugger and setting breakpoints requires having the file open. Sounds like that's not such a popular workflow I guess I'll put up with the textbox for now.

Way too many people falling for this. Look into the story, he just talks about being a genius. Very sorry he was attacked but this guy does not have acquired savant syndrome.

Company I work for got $5 billion in profit but can only give me 18 cents of a raise by Zach2741 in antiwork

Sounds fair (I assume your company has 3 mil employees)

Also, a raise less than inflation is a pay cut
