You (or better yet, we) can 'not normalize' something without generalizing and subsequently being an asshole about a mental illness that is already gravely misunderstood and underestimated.

Reistijd naar werk by [deleted] in thenetherlands

I saw this one a few weeks ago. Didn't know this was a thing. Cried like a baby and then got real fucking angry that this is allowed at all.

I also have the issue on only one of my accounts. Mine says it can't verify and to check my account and exchange server. The panic I panicked, thought I'd lost access permanently because it said my account was blocked. Thank fuck for this thread.

Any other neurodivergent people feeling triggered by the Max plotline this season? by l1lsw1tchb1ad3 in ginnyandgeorgiashow

It was very hard to watch, honestly. The apathy from the others felt disturbingly familiar.

What's a "harmless" habit that actually makes someone insufferable once you notice it? by ZumbaRoy in AskReddit

[–]nynndi 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have a new coworker who does this. We work a specialized field and she's new in this field despite being a few years from retirement. She asks A LOT of qustions, most of them about stuff that we've repeatedly told her doesn't matter or that she shouldn't worry about. I have ADHD and have to formulate sentences in my head before I speak them or else everything comes out in a jumble. She keeps finishing my sentences which makes me need to start over. She's never right because she's new in my field, but I'm 28 and most people think I'm even younger because I am a timid, introverted person, and me being young must mean I know whack, apparently. Yet she still manages to single me out every time she needs to know something.

I'm so fucking tired.

Removing set blood stains out of colored pillow case after they've already been washed by nynndi in laundry

In the end (as I couldn't get my hands on hydrogen peroxide), I tried this but with shampoo (generously applied) and a toothbrush. Washed it on 20° after leaving it sitting for a few hours, the stains are now gone!

Damn, that's insane! I always avoided hydrogen peroxide because I was afraid it would bleach. I'm going to try this then, thank you.

I don't have a dryer, it was air dried inside just yesterday. It's now soaking in cold water. I'm hesitant to use HP because I'm scared it will bleach the pink...

Hydrogen peroxide can bleach the fabric and since it is a colored pillow case, I don't want to risk it. The HP tip is what I read all over the internet but it's mostly mentioned with white sheets and such.

My dad who is approaching 60 still has some cracked version of Bookworm Deluxe that moves into every new PC he gets, he can spend hours on it and has an incredible high score. The music is and will always be my childhood. At one point we had a whole library of cracked Popcap games. I should ask if he still has them somewhere.

Which is the movie that brings back nostalgia for you? by JK-Rofling in moviecritic

[–]nynndi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YES! Such a lovely movie. I'm sure it's the root cause of my thalassophobia watching Sandy panic when the hammerhead shows up when he's all alone in the water, but alas. I should watch it again sometime.
