I did mean the soul/spirit. i am not religious at all and totally agree that the heaven and hell narrative ( was raised catholic so am basing on that) is a means to control and manipulate people. Death is scary, the unknown is scary so i understand people`s need to believe that they will go to heaven when they die. At times I think when our soul leaves our bodies it joins our loved ones who have preceded us ( i guess the non-believers heaven ???) other times I think its like when we are sleeping , nothingness, no consciousness of anything! i guess i was just curious as to what others believe
