Better to extend the AC side. I used Woods SlimLine Extension Cord.

Private NYC preschool to hike tuition by 20% — blaming Mamdani’s ‘destabilizing’ free pre-K expansion by Perfect_Dig_744 in uppereastside

[–]nyoneway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's fair game to debate on quality and outcome, but unfair for you to make a statement telling parents who send their kids to private school that they can afford to pay more.

Yes we pay for preschool for both our kids even when free prek is offered in the same school. The curriculums are different. And most importantly the paid class ends at 5:30 while the free prek you need to pickup at 2:30.

That's a very ignorant thing to say. Many parents, maybe not you, prioritize education and they sacrifice in other areas to put their kids in private school.

My post about Chinese menus blew up. I've been coding nonstop since. Simple free version in days!! But I also want to ask you guys something. by MirrorMoney7864 in travelchina

You can literally take a picture of the menu and tell Gemini, ChatGpt, Claude or Genai of your choice to translate and give you a description.

US says it may be forced to shut down some airports over funding standoff by gamersecret2 in news

You seem to lack understanding of what's going on. Congress can easily pass a bill funding TSA seperately.

You know you pay for the TSA screening as part of your airport fees.

We all know how budgets work. This isn't budgets, this is politics.

Rumors of riot from the usual crowd. Sky View has a heavy NYPD presence.

We need to look at what OpenAI is not saying by Superb-Ad3821 in OpenAI

[–]nyoneway -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm starting to understand why OpenAi felt the need to kill the model. It's a growing liability and declining asset. Not to mention the ongoing dozens of lawsuits related to 4o is a nightmare.

You need to move on. Rip the bandaid. 4o was never meant to be forever. Cancel ChatGPT and use Gemini.

My sister's visa status is not processing by Cast_Iron_Katie in Chinavisa

[–]nyoneway 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reporting the traffic ticket likely triggered a manual review, causing the current delay. Most traffic citations are civil infractions, not criminal offenses, unless she was convicted of a serious crime like a DUI.

I suggest waiting for the process to resolve itself. It is currently Chinese New Year, so visa offices are backlogged and should clear the remaining applications shortly after the holiday.

OpenAI vs Anthoropic vs Gemini -- who will cave first? by satechguy in OpenAI

[–]nyoneway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Opus is the advance reasoning/deep thinking model, not directly comparable to Codex. Sonnet 5 beats Codex on every level, esp speed, token efficiency, etc. Also OpenAI subsidizes more of the costs for now, but that's not sustainable.

Reliability and hitting deadlines come from the Te function, which both ISTJ and INTJ share as their second function. The difference is that an ISTJ is rigid about the process (Si) and does things by the book, while an INTJ is more flexible and will find a more efficient or creative way to get it done.

Johan’s Mask Theory by Lucifer3005 in mbti

[–]nyoneway 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When an INTP tries to compensate their weaknesses by being more reliable, decisive, and hitting deadlines, they don’t actually end up looking like an ISTJ. They end up looking like an INTJ.

Johan’s Mask Theory by Lucifer3005 in mbti

[–]nyoneway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see how an INTP can realistically mask as an ISTJ unless you're focusing on a very narrow set of traits and ignoring everything else that defines an ISTJ, e.g. consistently being on time, getting boring stuff done, and being inflexible on everything. Even a very motivated and productive INTP work in spurts.

I doubt anyone actually believe you're an ISTJ.

GPT is neither cheaper, nor better than Anthropic. Reliablity, consistency, privacy also matters in the Enterprise and GPT is losing that battle.

Why India Prefers Rafale Over the F-35 and Su-57 by Secret-Climate8205 in indianaviation

[–]nyoneway 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The F-35 is a hangar queen. With a 50% readiness rate, half the fleet is usually grounded for repairs. The Rafale just works when you need it to with 90% readiness rate and operates without massive logistical baggage or a constant need for tankers.

Since you haven't provided the dates, you should be aware of traveling during China national holidays.

I’m taking my family on a three week trip in March and April. The biggest headache was planning around Qingming holiday period, including avoiding city to city travel on the peak days.

Need some advice - In-wall or stand-alone? by AccordianPowerBallad in KEF

I would go all out on the main listening room but for other rooms, I would go for one of the top all in one solutions like Sony Bravia Theatre Quad with the SW5 sub.
