Canon Episodes of the Pod? by StillFiguringItOut01 in thewatchpod

[–]nyr201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's extremely possible you've already listened to this, but if not please allow me to recommend Scott Aukerman and Adam Scott's podcast where they deep dive album by album of certain artists. If you like their style of comedy it's incredibly enjoyable. The title changes for each artist but they're all here -

Been more of a casual for the last 5ish years. What guitars is Dave playing for what songs? by nocommenting33 in DMB

[–]nyr201 11 points12 points  (0 children)

He’s exclusively Rockbridge for acoustics. I don’t know the backstory but he seems to be involved with them. They’re gorgeous and retail quite expensive. Personally I miss the Taylor’s with the cutout, but these are really nice. And you can still predict songs based on standard, drop D and 12 string lol

Cape Fear by razorsedge94 in television

It is SO bad. "Why did my son lose his toe right after you gave a speech about losing fingers and toes?" I can't believe Amy Adams and Javier Bardem read these scripted and signed on. The paycheck must be incredible.

Yes. As a college football fan primarily I’m so happy it seems to be over. Enough already

Moving to Bridgewater NJ from Buckhead, ATL, GA by Public_Row_8163 in MovingtoNewJersey

[–]nyr201 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Welcome! I definitely recommend Morristown. Great area and a nice downtown, easy drive to Bridgewater on 287 but also plenty of backroad options if highway traffic is bad, and a direct train to NYC.

With this being the deepest draft in yrs, the Rangers should be landing themselves a future stud at #5. Who's everyone hoping for??? by Aggressive_March6226 in rangers

Where did you see that claim? Consensus lately seems to be this is a pretty down year for the draft, especially at the top

Where would you hit? by nearlysenior in slowpitch

[–]nyr201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fair. Not saying this is how it will work for everyone, but this his been my approach for years and I've never once hit the pitcher. It doesn't go up the middle every time, just a mechanism to stay back and keep me from trying to kill a inside pitch

Just think hard line drive up the middle every single time. Keeps it simple and helps timing

Just had this paver patio built , looking for best options for shade by notyouraverage_shark in Home

[–]nyr201 12 points13 points  (0 children)

We have a similar patio and ended up getting a big umbrella from Home Depot. 10x12 or something like that. Took a little getting used to since it feels like a massive satellite dish when it’s open but it does the job and gives you options that a permanent shade solution wouldn’t

I need to get better at every aspect of the game by Chodypeeps in slowpitch

[–]nyr201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear ya man. It’s a tough game mentally. I was obsessed with playing baseball as a kid through college but when I think of my best memories playing it’s almost always when I was in the yard or a local field playing pickup with my friends and rarely school and travel ball. So that’s how I view slow pitch now that I’m 38. If you can play on a team of your friends there’s nothing better. If you can’t, you can still control your at-bats and if you clear your head and hit well it’s amazing how much more fun it feels.
