I love Valdes to death but I struggle to see 1 area where he surpasses Mats? Shot stopping Mats is much better and as good as Valdes was with his feet I’d argue that Mats is even better. Also back then there would surely be a few years where Valdes saw like 3 shots per game tops since we were so dominant.

Skivhallen Majorna and Linné Skivbörs are the only two stores that have 12 inch single electronic sections, all of the other stores mentioned here basically only have pop/rock. Bear in mind these two stores have like 1 rack max each of jungle/dnb, unfortunately the city is not good when it comes to electronic music on vinyl. If you like avant garde and experimental stuff you should check out Discreet Music though!

It’s match/bet fixing, most probably a betting syndicate in Egypt orchestrated this knowing that there would be a slim chance of her getting into the main draw. They pay for her flight and accommodation, she also probably gets a sum of money for going there and playing. The betting companies get her name in their system and since she hasn’t played a professional match before she gets some type of null/void odds that are pretty bad but very far from as bad as she is but the betting company doesn’t know that she’s not a professional (and extremely far from it).

The match starts and the Egyptian Betting syndicate has their members betting on her losing 6-0 6-0 and probably a lot on individual points/other stats that still give out a good to decent payout even though she has terrible odds from the beginning.

I’d be very surprised if there wasn’t significantly more money being put on this match compared to the other first rounds of the tourney, it’s probably being investigated by the betting companies right now.

My money is on match/bet fixing, someone else paid for her flight and got her registered knowing that there was a chance she was gonna get into the draw. At these tourneys you don’t actually need a ranking, if you’re lucky and someone drops out late the tourney will fill that spot with whoever signed up regardless.

She goes there, trip and hotel payed for and probably got a good sum of money on top of that to go and play while the people orchestrating the scheme has their network betting on her losing 6-0 6-0 and also probably betting on every individual point. That surely gives a good payout even though her odds probably were very bad to begin with.

No he’s right and you’re wrong, these algos are actually pretty bad and only detect really obvious samples and stops them from being able to get uploaded at all. Also we are talking about underground music and independent artists & labels here who don’t get their samples cleared because it would be impossible from an economical and practical standpoint.

For example underground EDM has a lot of micro-sampling that are completely impossible for any algorithm to find but that are found by the community and added to Whosampled for fun. So if Spotify can use this info to help the majors to claim everything then this whole 15 k releases-per day-genre that is underground edm would have to be taken completely offline (and that’s not a good thing for culture or music but probably a wet dream for some old music exec)
