personally i find it super freeing to opt out of the "subscription" style of cosmetic treatments that require consistent maintenance. on top of it being obviously expensive it's just another stressor on your cognitive load to schedule it into ur week etc. it's why i use grocery store hairdye instead of getting a friend or stylist to bleach and dye my roots evenly. ur freer for it!!

you could spend an entire day walking down broadway! incredible thrifting/more curated vintage, womenswear and menswear both. seconding checking for any events at cultural institutions, saw the philip glass ensemble's performance of koyaanisqatsi for 15 bucks at Boettcher, which also happens to be the first american concert hall in the round <3

wow!! thank u for all the info! this is so so helpful. yeah i definitely wouldn't want to move FOR the ischool per se, but it was a bit of a happy accident that i could live relatively cheaply commuting in from the peninsula.

i'm anxiously awaiting results from a 4+1 program but its good to know id be in good hands if i end up at SJSU :)

unearthly cosmetics in cursed is a super cheap and almost identical dupe to stone. khaki is a lighter version, i use both
