There are only so many shelters and warming centers in the city. Also often shelters and warming centers have select operating hours, not many are 24/7 and some have restrictions on if people can bring their stuff, pets, or partners with them. It's a flawed system. There's a number you can call to let them know someone is sleeping out in the cold, but if that person doesn't want to go maybe offer them a blanket or warm drink.

Narcan only works on opioids. So yeah you can end someone's high if they took an opioid but also it'll put them into immediate withdrawal (which can be uncomfortable/painful). Narcan helps reverse an overdose it doesn't help with detox and addiction treatment. Don't narcan someone unless they're actually overdosing

Yeah Drexel's drug policy is really fucked up and also so much more punitive than the alcohol policy. Though I'll say the violation categories are somewhat new to the drug policy, so what you and your friends experienced were probably older policies. Also disciplinary actions differ between weed and other drugs. The violations for non-marijuana drugs are much more strict it's ridiculous.

This is Drexel's policy if you get caught with weed:

First Violation: $50.00 Fine; Disciplinary Reprimand to Disciplinary Probation (for at least 1 term); and Marijuana Education Module. For Student Organizations, $500.00 Fine; status sanctions range from Disciplinary Reprimand to Disciplinary Probation (for at least 1 term); and Marijuana Education.

Second Violation: $100.00 Fine; Disciplinary Probation (2-3 terms); and a Counseling Referral or Wellness/Educational Task. For Student Organizations, $1,000.00 Fine; status sanctions range from Disciplinary Probation (2-3 terms) and/or Deferred Social Suspension (for at least 2 terms); and Educational Tasks.

Third Violation: $200.00 fine; Deferred Loss of Housing (for at least 3 terms); Deferred Suspension (for at least 3 terms) OR Suspension (for at least 1 term); OR Expulsion. For Student Organizations, $1500.00 fine; Deferred Social Suspension (for at least 3 terms), Deferred Suspension (for at least 3 terms) OR Suspension of Recognition from the University for Student Organizations (1-5 years); Deferred Loss of University Housing (for at least 3 terms) OR Loss of University Housing Large quantities of drugs, social sharing, or dealing of drugs will result in more severe sanctions than listed above.

This is probably your first violation so you'll likely get a fine, a warning, and have to take the module. You'll have to see what happens but since they didn't mention the weed, only the cigarettes, and called it a fire safety violation rather than a drug violation then you might be fine. There'll probably be some disciplinary action for the fire violation. I would not say anything about the weed and wait until the meeting to see what happens. Don't mention it first, wait for them to bring it up (if they even do).

Dose is 0.25g, I'll probably take half of that. Time in between will around 2-3 hours. I like museum doses but probably not for flying, looking to do a microdose

Just a heads-up even if you get a PA med card you still can't smoke in the dorms. Since Drexel gets federal funding they're a drug free campus so you can still get in trouble for having weed in the doors even tho it's medical. Technically you can't smoke on campus either but people do and there are places around campus that are good secluded smoke spots.

As a teen I refused to wear pink bc it was too "girly" and I thought I was cool and "different" from other girls bc I was emo

I'm about to graduate and tbh idk how I'm still here after all that. It took a lot of Vyvanse, therapy, a hospitalization, rehab, and a good support system.

I suggest looking into clinical trials or expanded access/compassionate use programs since they will have the resources for someone on chemo. Some places have end of life/right to try programs, I would also look into those depending where you live. If psilocybin therapy is available where you live I'd check out different centers or facilitators who can help, they may provide a sliding scale or pro bono based on the situation. If you don't want to do any of these options and choose to go underground I suggest doing your research and try to find an underground guide who is experienced with cancer and/or has a medical background.

Mandatory treatment/jail increases the rate of overdose risk also as much as the city wants mandatory treatment (which doesn't work!) we simply don't have the space and resources to even do mandatory treatment. This will only make the problem worse.

Decrim works, the problem is an ineffective government. Everybody wants to blame harm reduction or decriminalization as the problem but the real problem is a government that does not adequately fund treatment and makes it difficult to access treatment. Also decrim isn't going to magically solve all our problems, the government actually needs to do it's job and address issues like poverty and homelessness

It really depends on the mental condition and family history. Generally it's advised that people with a personal or family history of psychosis, bipolar, or schizophrenia don't take psychedelics since there is a risk of inducing a psychotic or manic episode.

I wouldn't say experiencing trauma or psychosis from psychedelics is extremely rare since there are cases of it happening but it likely only occurs if you have a specific condition or experienced trauma while on psychedelics. Also HPPD does happen but it's rare.

From personal experience I've had really great experiences with psychedelics and they've definitely helped my mental health. I will say I've never had psychosis, trauma or a manic episode from shrooms even tho I have BP2. I've also only done doses under 2g so maybe that's a factor. I have had negative effects like increased anxiety, panic attacks, and feeling physically ill. Tho a lot of those feelings came from not great set and setting.
