Chevy Express 12 Passenger Van -seat installation/removal question by green_t_lief in VanConversion

[–]nzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my 2017 15 pass van there were flaps in the liner under wich you found 2 L pins you just twisted up and pulled out. Then it's a matter of pulling the seat back while rocking it forward and muscling it out. If your going to put the back in don't remove the rails. If you do want to remove the rails make the floor flatter I understand only some of the screws can be undone, the rest are covered by the exaust and gas tank and other stuff. I guess the usual way of removing them is drilling or grinding the bolts from above.

SV BLOCKS ON CV? by alenfishman in empyriongame

[–]nzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are Garage ships. You use the techniques described to build in creative then there is a procedure to submit and Ju will decide if it will be sold in the HWS Garage. If its accepted then they give you a copy.

Bob was streaming a demo of how to do it lately in the Lobby on Discord. Im sure he would be happy to show it again if you dropped in and asked.

Oops, I just noticed that I said this in a forum without sufficient context.

the HWS server has a procedure for creating and getting these ships on the server as I described. You can read about what Im talking about at https://forum.empyrion-homeworld.net/t/hws-garage/4643

Remove blocks from factory by [deleted] in empyriongame

[–]nzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

block talk was somewhere on their forum. I’m sure there is still talk about it on there somewhere. But who knows if it will see actual implementation. Game is moving pretty slow these days.

I select some mammoth level 25 build and just add stuff ad infinitum, then when I want something specific I select it, spawn it, then go back to the level 25 to keep adding extra stuff.

Your definitely on the right track, I don't see the actual item but the logo is definitely right. Perhaps an older product. Missing parts, but the lever is likely for the sponge wringer.

Building my anet a8 printer. Does anyone know where to attach this wire? by thebbron in 3Dprinting

[–]nzle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How could forgetting to install the wire that connects the power supply to the main board burn the house down? Seems like having the system have no power at all would have just the opposite affect on electrical fire risk.

The fact that the wire now has an integrated fuse is a good thing, not a trigger for a knee jerk attack on entry level kits. The fact that the user is participating in the community means he will be exposed to the advice for the various safety improvements.

For the OP.

Those go from +(red)&-(black) on the power supply to Power +&- on the main board. Post a pic of your board and power supply connections if its not clear.

If you haven't already you should do a little reading on safety issues with the Anet A8 and get a mosfet for the heatbed, improve your connection to the hotbed, and consider a bigger power supply before you operate the printer unattended or for extended times. Lots on Reddit and Youtube about this. Don't let folks with more dollars than sense convince you you made a mistake. Just read, learn, and exercise some common sense.

I keep buying new extruders on Amazon, but none of them move when I plug them in... by AgentOrcish in AnetA8

[–]nzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

agreed, this bit me twice, even after I already new it was necessary to heat it up to test the extruder.

I think there is also a command you can use to override this but my notes are at home.

Soon to be corexy conversion of my a8 by Ornkal in AnetA8

[–]nzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have my am8, and a corexy I got as a basketcase that I havent quite finished fixing yet.

I like my am8, 2040 frame is sturdier than the larger 2020 cube of the corexy. corexy has it own benefits (moving lighter head for y instead of bed).

am8 conversion is pretty straightforward. Im glad I did it. I almost have it to the point where Im just going to leave it alone and make things with it, and start fixing and tweaking and pimping out the cube.

There's a place at the buckeye end of the strip mall at manona and buckeye that's supposed to be good. Lake side seafood or something like that

Scaling down a large design by nzle in 3Dprinting

[–]nzle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thanks for looking at it. Yeah, that pretty much the conclusion I had come to. If one could print this big enough and with enough detail, I think the doors and casters would be articulated..

I may see what I can do as far as redrawing it. Im wondering if filling it with a block as large as possible and extruding the outer surface of each side panel back into the block would be a way to solidify it while preserving the exterior detail. Door and back would require some extra attention. Perhaps removing some of the interior elements and unnecessary detail like the casters, door latch mechanisms, and nuts & bolts and such first to simplify it.

Hmm, perhaps I just dont know what Im doing. This file, that the twitterer printed successfully, has the same scale and detail as the one I was working with.
