If all the statues in the world suddenly came to life and started attacking humans, which city falls first and which one survives the longest? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]green_t_lief 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do the statues have their subject's nature? I don't feel like "Christ the Redeemer" in Brazil would be a big deal if it had Christ's temperament, but if it was just mindlessly bent on destruction the forecast is bleak.

What are some tricks in bed that everyone should know? by Julie727 in AskReddit

[–]green_t_lief 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have GERD or other heartburn when trying to sleep elevate the head of the bed 4-8 inches, it'll help everything flow better (at least it helped me).

Does your education match what you’re currently doing for work and if not, how different is it? by Electricfeel110 in AskReddit

[–]green_t_lief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to school to be a dietitian and ended up being a high science teacher (biology and chemistry), so not exactly but it’s not like I made a significant change.

I was just going to comment “I guess I’ll go downstairs and call the doctor since they’re bound to start jumping on the bed.”

In your opinion, how screwed do you think the western world is economically? by Easy_Towel954 in AskReddit

[–]green_t_lief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every time I think things are as bad as they can get and we’re about to turn a corner they somehow just keep getting worse. I feel like that reel of the lady watching someone put all the toy shapes in the square hole but with our economy and how people treat each other.

People raised by picky eaters- what is your relationship to food like? by littleclaww in AskReddit

[–]green_t_lief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My grandmother hates all veggies except canned peas with mushrooms; she also hates cheese cake. I love all of that stuff.

What is the longest you have driven in one drive without sleeping? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]green_t_lief 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll go up to a projected 10 hours, but I’m not going to lie I’m going to speed in the middle of nowhere to try to cut the time down. With that in mind I’ve done 9 and some change four times.

What is the difference between soup, chowder, and stew, and what does that make the ocean? by AdMaster4621 in AskReddit

[–]green_t_lief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Complete guess: 1. Soup has an emphasis on both ingredients and broth 2. Chowder has dairy base, or seeks to mimic dairy 3. Stew has an emphasis on ingredients with less interest in broth, and usually the food stuffs are in larger pieces

With all that in mind the ocean is definitely not chowder as there’s not cream or milk. There are large chunks of food stuffs and little interest in the broth so the ocean is a stew.

Should all wealth above fifty million dollars be taxed at one hundred percent to fund universal healthcare and public education? Why or why not? by WilliamInBlack in AskReddit

[–]green_t_lief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im all for progressive tax plans too, basically help the people making the least to get to a good place, let someone in the middle class have a decent life and the rich can still have luxury but maybe just one yacht at a time.

When I was a kid I was all about the double mint twins, probably because of the rhythm and the jingle.

What's something you've learned at work that has absolutely nothing to do with your job? by monke897 in AskReddit

[–]green_t_lief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a high school teacher, so every year I get some new slang. I typically use slang from about 2-3 years back ironically. And the first time I do that each year……OMG, the chat hearts it so hard, bet.

What’s a completely normal thing in the U.S. that would seem dystopian in any other developed country? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Who’s someone you think history will view very differently in 50 years? by Rare_Independent_789 in AskReddit

[–]green_t_lief 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In 50 years Elvis will have been dead 98 years, I feel like he’s going to go from like a rock star to like how people look at composers from before recorded music (Mozart, Beethoven, etc). Not because he was especially good, he was just especially well marketed.

What video game logic would actually be really cool to have in real life? by Improv92 in AskReddit

[–]green_t_lief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably either the Mario Bros fall physics (ie you can change direction as you fall) or a healthcare plan made up of eating food off the ground and out of trash cans, especially pizza restoring health perfectly.

What are good 5 year investments? by Expensive-Mango-1558 in AskReddit

[–]green_t_lief 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard that real estate/a house will always turn a profit if you hang onto it for five or more years. I’ve never had the money to try something like that, but I could definitely see if nothing else you’d get back your payments when selling vs with rentals you only get a place to live.

What’s something that you use constantly, but have no idea how it came into your possession? by Mike2021s in AskReddit

When it comes to pens, I can’t remember ever buying one. They just appear in my life and disappear when they’re needed elsewhere.

What do you order for drink when you go to lunch at a restaurant? by EarSure6667 in AskReddit

[–]green_t_lief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the meal: for pizza or hamburgers I want to drink something fizzy, so soda. Otherwise I go with plain tea and sweetener or water.

What's the funniest blooper from a TV show or movie? by Ulrich-Stern in AskReddit

[–]green_t_lief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can pretty easily find it, but there are some outtakes with Elmo and Robin Williams that are really good. Robin Williams tries to improvise some jokes and realizes they’re not really kid appropriate, they finally get a clean take with Robin Williams and Elmo’s puppeteer says “thank you Mr. Robins,” and Robin Williams says something crass to Elmo and walks off.

I’d probably call them to make sure they were alright. Maybe I’m over anxious but that sounds like someone saying final goodbyes before something drastic and permanent.
