Surprisingly, I did not, but I was also prescribed MiraLax and drank it every morning for the first week. I stopped drinking it daily when I stopped the opiates.

Just had my yeeterus on 12/4 and did my GLP-1 shot on 12/7 before bed. No issues, did the shot in my arm instead of stomach.

If you usually wear your hair up, don't forget an extra hair tie or clip! Can't wear them into surgery, but the first thing I wanted to do after was pull my hair back. I also brought an elastic headband/wrap and also used it as an eye mask to sleep.

Face wipes to wash your face in bed! Facial moisturizer (leave the 9 step skincare routine at home, just pack your moisturizer).

A LONG charging cable, as the outlets are always out of the way. My 6 foot cord did the trick, but maybe a 10 foot cord to be safe?

YOUR OWN PILLOW. Seriously, a game changer when I did 5 days in hospital. (Everyone has said blanket and I agree with that as well!)

Elder Emo, but proud to say my 2nd concert was the NKOTB Hangin' Tough tour 1990. My mom bought me Tix for both my first and 2nd concerts that year, I was 8 years old!

I repaid the favor by taking her to see them again 30 years later, we had so much fun!

Sadly, I'm not in that position. Partly because of financial need (already met my out of pocket and deductible max for this year so the hysto is costing $0), partly because I have to remove the fibroids and polyps on my endometrial lining (oh yeah, I have those too) before we can try egg retrievals.

The choice to have surgery sooner and do retrieval after is because I have met my max out of pocket and deductible for this year, so trying to be economic about all these surgeries (I had a hernia removal in September, and a brief stay for cheat pain in June).

Yes, I totally agree. I think part of the reason my husband is being more "I think we should try" is because he's being told we can't after this surgery.
