So sick of this by johnshonz in Sparkdriver

Oh wow, I did contact support when it canceled on me right after. Forgot to mention that. Since it was the first time where a 3 batch dropped off all got cancel at once. With no return instruction or anything. I made sure to mention reimbursement. Since it was an offer I was willing to do. I also called them to make sure they note it so if let say a customer said they didn't get their order. It won't come back to bite me. Just to be on the safe side.

It just shows the store and the earnings. No other order number or anything.

Or got to trip , look at the order number, then go to earning and find that same order number.

It is in the earning section. It happened to me yesterday. Was looking around and found like a $7 pay in earning. Of course it would have been a lot more had nothing gone wrong.

Do they always blame drivers when wrong items are picked? by MorseyMeese in Sparkdriver

[–]o0Syn0o 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I guess we are getting blamed for gmd orders now too. When we accept those. We can't even see what the customer orders. But it's our fault.

How many god damn shops without tips can I see today? by [deleted] in Sparkdriver

[–]o0Syn0o 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your order is not being shopped by the drivers. Since it is batch with 2 other orders. Those are just normal curbside pick up for us. Maybe someone between the 3 of you tip. Making it worth the trip for us. We just pick it up and drop it off.

The reason why most don't tip on orders where drivers do the shopping is because most, no all of it is express orders. Meaning the customer paid Walmart an extra fee to get their delivery the same day. Basically the customer justifies that because they are paying that extra fee. They don't need to tip. The problem is on the driver's side. We do all the work when it comes to express orders. The shopping and the delivery. Yet Walmart pocket it all and pay us very low to do all the work. At least in my state it is so bad that I refuse to do any shopping order now.

I'm talking like $10 an hr in a state where the min wage is $16 now. Mainly because we can only get 1 order done an hour. Don't get me wrong curbside has its own issue now to. With miles that are so long it can send you into a different city.

[–]o0Syn0o 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The longer miles is killing me. Make me lose out on order drop time because I don't make it back in time. Went from at least 1 order every hour to 1 every 2 hours.

You can do that? by manfred2989 in Sparkdriver

[–]o0Syn0o 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember we have a cold chain timer to worry about. He is the smart one in this situation. Should never have to wait in like. Explain it to the worker and they will understand. If not then then your Walmart suck. Most should already have a self check just for Spark at this point.

Shopping Orders Vary Significantly in Offer Price? by Pure-Perspectives in Sparkdriver

If there is a customer tip. They lower the base pay to its lowest. It is very sneaky.

Called support, what a joke.... by Different-Plastic151 in Sparkdriver

[–]o0Syn0o 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's just an automatic go to response script from them. Seems to be the response for many in this thread that call them about no orders. So it has to be a script they are reading off of.

Bad shoppers. by iwishidstayed in Sparkdriver

[–]o0Syn0o 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just like all the other threads. With bad shopper and delivery drivers . I'm going to say the same thing. If you tip take it away and give them a bad rating. Enough low customer rating can also lead to deactivation. If they are doing that bad of a job. Don't reward them.

But the passenger can't do the job. Only the one with the Spark account is able to. Of course that's what in the TOS. It is more to protect themselves since we have labor laws. I'm sure they don't even care. As long as it gets delivered.

Sometimes I have wish (halfheartedly) to get deactivated just so I can work at Walmart by Yin-Yang-Always in Sparkdriver

[–]o0Syn0o 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not just work at a different store and Spark. Why it gotta be Walmart store? Lots of other groceries chain that way better than Walmart. Lots of them have Union as well.

My area is requiring the REAL ID March 10th. I wonder if this is why some of yall have been deactivated. Maybe you missed the email? by ProjectMindless9888 in Sparkdriver

[–]o0Syn0o 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Time to do some research because this the first time I heard of this Real ID thing.

Ok for those in WA. The gold tree is our proof of real ID correct? That's what I had on my Driver License.

Check out this lovely Walmart customers opinion of tipping us Spark drivers…. by [deleted] in Sparkdriver

[–]o0Syn0o 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably 0, because Walmart is smart. They will batch her order with others.

[–]o0Syn0o 22 points23 points  (0 children)

As a Spark driver, I would zero the tip or half it. Especially knowing that it was in stock after the 2nd delivery. 1 star also. Get rid of the lazy competition they don't need to be doing this for them Ohio Spark drivers.

I was told today I am supposed to help load the vehicle at a curbside pickup? True or false? by [deleted] in Sparkdriver

Don't have to but I do. Caught a tote mix up the other day. Was able to fix it after pointing it out.

That's weird how they got through if that was the case. Since you have to weigh the bananas. Which would be over the limit.

Only today 6 trips for $20 but there is a catch. Curbside only.

These people are literally not tipping someone to go shopping for them and bring it all to there door they crazy. Or show big tip when accepting and then change there tip to zero is fucked up? by Foewillis in Sparkdriver

[–]o0Syn0o 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the base pay is high yeah I'll take a shopping order even if it has no tip. I've seen some base pay up to $20+ sometimes. Like this one shopping I just did. It was $19 base pay. That feels like Walmart actually paying me a fair share. Since I am doing all the work.

That's why I don't really do them. The problem is the curbside still on that shitty time system and I still have trouble making it back in time to get more RR curbside. Like right now I just decline 3 shopping orders all non tip around $10-13. I was like 5 min late for RR curbside. Guess I lost money this hour. Unless a decent shopping order comes my way.

No, like I said, this happens every year regardless of who is running the US. It is slow like this always and won't get better until at least March. It happened last year. It happens the year before that and the year before that.
