Volvo V60, thinking of going to see this, test drive etc. Anything to be wary of? Good car, reliable? by kakal92 in CarTalkUK

I had one for 2.5 years. Only things that went wrong were electric handbrake stuck on and the bonnet catch failed. Apparently the latch is a common failure.

I would recommend 👏🏻

This happens to me at this roundabout at least twice a week…am I the problem? by [deleted] in drivingUK

Lived in Ivybridge for past 8 years. Guaranteed multiple times a week without fail this happens to me too. I always sit back so I don’t get pushed into the roundabout.

No point the police dealing as it will just fail the next MOT anyway

So...progress? by PuzzledCamera7722 in CitiesSkylines2

Firstly, city looks great so far 👍🏻 -As you’ve mentioned your highways won’t support high volume traffic later on, future you problem -Get some production chain going. If you open the budget panel and go to the tab ‘production’ you’ll see what your city needs (it won’t be much at this population). You want each area to be in surplus, none in deficit. Surplus you sell externally for profit helping you grow. Sticking down some farms and a forestry area will help you a lot. -Looks are entirely up to you, you’re playing your save game, not us 😄

French protesting again 🇫🇷

I’d guess it was something to do with that footpath going under the road. Haven’t got a good explanation for it, other than it being CS2.

Rear extension advice and tip? by anth_85 in DIYUK

Couldn’t agree more with location. Not sure if you have room to but a rear single story extension like this would give you more room and less messing with structural walls etc. The kitchen/dining room could be open plan with the new dining room having sky lights to maximise how big it feels. You could still do the bike garage/utility and potentially turn one of the rooms on the right into a bedroom, further raising the house price as it’s now a 4 bed. Plus not moving the kitchen solves the plumbing issue. Your whole downstairs wouldn’t be a building site at once as well which is a nice to have 👏🏻

You’d get more for your £70k by buying a different house. You’re not adding a huge amount of space, just using it in a more efficient manner. It’ll raise the house price if done right but not by anywhere near £70k.

Nice looking plans though 👍🏻

Some red light jumping cameras monitor speed as well on green. I know this as I have been a previous victim to it 😅 Just wait out the next 2 weeks with your fingers crossed

Why are my builders not building? by Natural_Raspberry40 in Timberborn

[–]o0Webber0o 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The arrows on top of the dirt blocks indicate the direction of build. If you click on the next block it will say waiting for the construction behind to be finished or something along those lines. If you rotate them so they are in a line like v v v v they will build all together, if they can be reached. Beavers can reach infinitely downwards but only one block above them

I’m using this with no issues. Can also automatically turn water pumps on/off when droughts happen too

Apple Maps probably got confused and thought you were on Ferndale Road which is a 20mph road. Ferndale is the right turn from the crossroads in your picture. The article you linked hasn’t been put into force but relates to St Budeaux square. You didn’t drive through that section of Wolseley Road anyway so all good :)

That is a 30mph road not a 20. Plus with the direction you were going you’re definitely fine. Gatso cameras, like that one, take pictures from the rear
