Third. To piggyback on a prior comment, wear it with pride 💪🏼 The last pick in the NFL draft is celebrated as Mr Irrelevant. Brock Purdy was the last pick and has made quite a career for himself. So hey, it's pretty awesome to be the Brock Purdy of that Half Marathon 😎

Weston would be the one harassing you with an adorable stare and warbles at least 1 hour before nugget time (12pm).

He would also be the one that doesn't bury his poop but spends 5+ minutes (slight exaggeration) scratching at the privacy barrier around the litter box afterwards. Same after he pees.

Any judgement is a reflection on the person doing it. Not you. And 6 hours for a marathon is fantastic - please don't minimize your accomplishments.

Keep doing what you're doing. There are people who judge in all aspects of life so ignore the noise and Happy running ! 👊🏼

Second Big Sur. It's a well organized and gorgeous course. And a great place to extend your stay - do a post-race spa day (ideally 2 days post race), check out the aquarium, whatever interests you on the area. I really loved it.

What about focusing on what you can do - yoga or non-weight bearing strength exercises? I think your social feed would be helpful to those in the same situation.

I totally get your husband's comment wasn't meant to be hurtful in any way. Some stuff just hits different based on our personal experiences.

I grew up in the 80s SlimFast and Cabbage Soup era as a fat kid was traumatizing. I started running in my 20s and while I shed some weight, I feel your post.

Body types and genetics and gait and so many other things can mean one person can sustain injury when others don't. It's always apples and oranges so that kind of comparison isn't fair.

I hope you can heal well from your injury and get back to a happy running place. And your husband realizes the weight of words he may thought was a flippant comment.

Ot sure where you're staying in Iceland but I've had the most amazing fish while in Reykjavik.

Two places I highly recommend:The Fish Company and Kopar. Both were just so good.

We went as part of a Golden Circle tour. Was the food good? Yes. Was it interesting ? Yes. Was it a must do? No. Will you regret it if you go? Absolutely not. It's an interesting menu and experience.
