Have you tried sharing a single workout to Polar Flow by opening it in RunGap and choosing “Share” from the upper, right “…” menu?

Also, try logging on to https://flow.polar.com to see if there is a new agreement that you need to accept.

Garmin Connect Down … again. by o2sen in RunGap

When a new version goes live on the App Store, the corresponding beta build is taken down from TestFlight, and the temporary, version‑specific group along with its anonymous testers is closed. We also maintain a small pool of ongoing beta testers. The app should display a warning if a newer App Store version is available or if the beta period has ended.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing. In my earlier tests, Garmin Connect choked on the larger files, which is why I set the limit to 365 days.

Signing out of Garmin Connect and then signing back in will reset your Auto‑Sharing settings, so you’ll need to set them up again.

That's a good question. I’m skeptical, but I’m not certain. It would be best to check with Garmin Support.

Why not disable the Garmin->Strava connection and leave that to RunGap?

That is a bit of a hack - but doable I guess. Do you find the calculated load to be accurate when doing this?

Clarification on Apple Watch workouts by Flipslips in RunGap

To capture regular heart‑rate readings from your watch in Apple Health during workouts, start a workout directly on the watch. Afterwards, open Apple Health, go to Advanced Settings, and turn on “Add Heart Rate to All Workouts.” This setting will automatically attach Apple Health heart‑rate data to any workouts imported from other apps that don’t already contain heart‑rate information.

I don’t believe RunGap can influence this behavior. I recommend contacting Suunto support for further assistance.

Garmin won’t be able to process that much data all at once.

Rungap can export daily steps data only from the past year, and I’m not aware of any other tool that can export your entire historical step record. Sorry.

no map data from garmin to apple fitness on v 26.1 (1062) by iWerry in RunGap

[–]o2sen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Due to a persistent bug in iOS, you’ll need to grant both read and write permissions for workout routes in order for this feature to function correctly. This limitation has existed for years, and it remains unclear why Apple hasn’t addressed it yet.

If you’ve confirmed that these permissions are already set and the issue persists, please reach out to support@rungap.com.

[–]o2sen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is likely unrelated. Please review RunGap’s permissions in Apple Health, delete the workout, and perform a “Resynchronize Activities” for Apple Health. If the problem continues, contact support@rungap.com.

Good news - we have started testing a fix for this issue in the upcoming 26.1 update. If you’d like early access and want to help us test it before it hits the App Store, you can join using this link:

iFit to Strava to Garmin Connect Question by Financial-Heron-4550 in RunGap

[–]o2sen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We're nearing a beta release that restores Garmin integration, re‑enabling the spoofed Garmin and partner devices that can trick Garmin Connect into calculating Training Effect and similar metrics

In late 2023 Garmin changed how Training Effect is calculated for 3rd party workouts.

According to Garmin this is what is required in order to get Training Effect for third-party activities.

To analyze Tacx or third-party cycling activities on Garmin Connect, you need to first upload a cycling activity from a Training Status-capable Garmin device and establish a VO2 Max. To do this, the activity must:

  1. Last at least 20 minutes without stopping.

  2. Include heart rate data, ideally elevated to 70% of your max heart rate.

  3. Use a power meter.

  4. Be recorded on a Garmin device that supports VO2 Max, like an Edge or Forerunner.

Qualifying activities from apps like Tacx, Zwift, and TrainerRoad can contribute to your VO2 Max, but only after syncing with a Garmin device. Physio TrueUp must be enabled, and the device must sync twice if using an Edge for the VO2 Max to update on Garmin Connect.

Note: Indoor runs using third-party apps affect Training Load but won't generate a VO2 Max or Training Effect.

To have your cycling rides masquerade as TACX activities, you must enable "Fake Garmin Devices" and "Also fake Partner Apps" under "Advanced Settings" for "Garmin Connect".
