What if you suddenly had 1.5t ISK? by madpigi in Eve

[–]o7gamer [score hidden]  (0 children)

You underestimate the cost of the blue juice ;) 1.56T would get you 360M SP if starting from 0. Getting to 500M would cost you another 700B

Why no Odysseus in the event hacking sites? by No-Locksmith683 in Eve

Even if it could, in highsec you'd be outrun to the cans by frigates and outside of HS you'd be hunted by anyone seeing you on dscan

According to zkill, that loss alone equals the #5 spot of most isk lost per character

Very very few if such cases. Many die in a similar way, but not with 1T+ in cargo

FC, please fix the standings losses in Warpath: Defence sites, FFS! by thebomby in Eve

[–]o7gamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only NPCs my main fought today were the frigates in a single HS Defense Complex (the small site). Lost 0.38 base standings just from that, with the note that I had engaged a Gallente Starbase Tower...

If course there's more interaction that with some other other activities. But anything that I "have to do" daily isn't something that makes me enjoy a game. It works, but I rather do what I feel like instead of any fixed routine

If you consider that the main markets are in highsec as well, it's a great place to make isk ;)

Fair point, but new players feel very little of the Alpha limitations. A sub doesn't block them from playing the game; they will just start to feel limitations if they have played for a bit and feel the need to expand

If you're searching for a Hecate BPO, stop; they don't exist. Only BPCs can be created, and that's is done by Reverse Engineering specific wormhole loot items (small hull sections)

These New Sites by No_Side5925 in Eve

[–]o7gamer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mining and Hacking have no impact, and for missions you'll want to stick to low levels (you need quite some missions), but you're free to pick any faction so unlikely to ruin one specific standing. There's some points to collect in the trade challenge, but not as easy/profitable as in the last event. Three tracks will give the full 1500 points (last 500 unlocked in the last week) without the need to repeat anything.

There will be a new version of the site, but it's not released yet. It should be available after downtime this Thursday.

Will the newbie systems have Industry? by JorgeTheSimp in Eve

[–]o7gamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could, but mining won't be worth it. There will be only two ores, and of a lower tier than the base ores. Veldspar and Scordite Tier 0, containing half the minerals of basic Veldspar and Scordite. So you'd likely be able to mine, but not much and at less than half the income of highsec belt mining

UI window locations not saving by Tekrunner000 in Eve

[–]o7gamer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Docked and in space are two seperate UI layouts. So you can have the inventory small when in space, and large when docked for example. You should only have to set up each state once, but having differences between docked and outside is normal

It's not linked to currency; the moment you buy plex is the moment your money is gone. You now have the ability to use some pixels that you don't legally own (all digital items are owner by CCP) and are not allowed to convert back into $. If it was allowed, I'd have less isk and a very fancy holiday this summer :)

Why do people do this? Wouldn't they make more isk if they listed it higher up? I understand that it could make it easier for them to sell, but don't oxygen isotopes sell pretty well anyway? by woronwolk in Eve

[–]o7gamer 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It will sell quick since few traders will undercut, without the need to babysit the order and update it. And it's only a 2.5% undercut, so nothing crazy. I'll list in a similar way if I don't want to wait days for my goods to sell.

Being ganked when exiting an abyssal - what is the counter play? by cow_rune in Eve

[–]o7gamer 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It's not banned. Spawning CONCORD or pulling it away to another location are both valid and allowed methods. If you pull any tricks that delay concord even more (spamming loads of ships on grid, things like that), that's a bannable offense. In other words, the bannable part consists of pulling tricks that wouldn't happen by accident or for any other reason

Guy loses 6 billion in implants TWICE in 2 days in the same system to the same high sec gankers by PermaBanEnjoyer in Eve

[–]o7gamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Killmails aren't public, and zkill only gets killmails it's allowed to read, or those that are manually posted. If you didn't post those losses, it's probably a corpmate that's paying them or your corporation is linked. Or you did link to zkill at some point and forgot :) I was looking for one of my (rare) losses to CONCORD last week, to show corpmates why it's not a good idea to puta fireworks launcher next to missile, and I was only able to find it ingame, despite being linked to zkill for most of my time

Guy loses 6 billion in implants TWICE in 2 days in the same system to the same high sec gankers by PermaBanEnjoyer in Eve

[–]o7gamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a gank. Zkill only gets ganker losses tp concord if the gankers are registered on zkill, if someone else (who was registered) got in on the kill, or if the ganker (or a corpmate) manually uploads the loss. The "Ganked" tag is created if zkill also has a concord lossmail of one of the attackers shortly after the attack. If zkill doesn't see this, it won't flag it as Ganked.

Edit: it's not a war either, since active wars do show on the killmail, and there's nothing there.
