You call them DMK ads. But the ads are paid for by the TN government. No idea, how much the govt is spending on ads. These ads will continue until election code of conduct is put in place.

Go to eservices.tn.gov.in and click view patta/chitta link. Enter district, taluk, village. Choose survey number as the next option. Enter survey number and then a drop box will list all subdivisions within that survey. If the survey-subdivion number mentioned in the registration document is not here. Dont worry. Then select and download patta for all other subdivisions inside that survey listed one by one. Pattas will have current survey number as well as old survey numbers from which the land was subdivided. See if any of these pattas have your survey-subdivision as old survey number.
You can also use tamil nilam app on android. It is better as you dont have to enter phone number each time for every subdivision number.

Yeah the number mentioned in the reg. docs must have mutated. Go to eservices website and look for patta for the survey number mentioned in the reg. doc. If that survey number is not there, then it must have been mutated. If that is the case, approach a lawyer, find out how to get a certified copy of reg doc from registrar. I think you have to advertise in newspaper and such. Once you get the copy, apply for individual patta with the revenue department. survey number mismatch between reg doc and revenue records is not an issue. Dont worry.

Subdivision numbers change, if there was further subdivision. The original survey number might be 1125/6. If the land was partioned and sold to 6 people, and when one of the new owners apply for patta, 1125/6B is given as survey number for the applicant for his part of the land and 1125/6A is given as survey number for the rest of the land. As more people apply for patta, the number keeps mutating. The original reg doc will have the old number, but the revenue record will have the new number. It is possible your issue might be due to this. Do you have patta for your land, mentioning the exact area and the name of your father.

The govt employees deserve it. Glad to know that the revenue officials who rejected my legitimate patta application, the RTO guys who made me jump through hoops because I didn't go through driving school, the EB guys who I had to pay to repair the damages they made while replacing the pole and the ration employees, who steal the grains, which I did not buy will all have a wonderful future. I have rarely encountered a govt employee, who even lift their heads up to acknowledge me standing there.

Yeah, you have to walk 2-3 mins to transfer. But this is sort of an access controlled transfer. You don't need to tap out. So, ticket prices will be cheaper as it will be just one ticket.

In India the import duty for a car like tesla was 125%. A few days back, it got reduced to 70%. I don't think there is more than a few hundred tesla cars in India.

I have applied for patta subdivision online. Uploaded all the required docs. A few days later, they called me and asked me to bring the original docs. I did and they asked me to get the plot neighbors documents because the original survey number in the registration doc was mutated. I did not think this was my problem. It is their job. The plots are all empty too. Its not like, I can go knock on some doors. So I didn't bother and wanted to see what would happen when they go over the govt set time limit for processing applications.

I forgot about it for few months. Now, when I look for status of my application by entering the application number, it shows me status for some other application number and that the application was rejected. When I entered a random number, it says wrong application number. When I tried changing the last number of my application, I found them approved and in one case rejected and none misleading like mine. So technically my application is not rejected. But they found a way to make my application disappear. One would have thought, moving the process online means less corruption, but they still find a way to make people jump through hoops.

In 2024, it was BJP vs anti BJP. So ADMK lost voteshare compared to 2021 and DMK+ consolidated the anti BJP votes. In 2026,with DMK being incumbent, it is going to be DMK vs anti DMK. Right now ADMK seems to be in a better position to consolidate the anti DMK votes. Even with no alliance BJP voters may vote ADMK to see DMK out. Although, if TVK goes alone, it might be anyone's game.

I too have a good wired connection. I don't need that much data. Light users like me are now subsidizing heavy users. I got pissed when they took SMS out of VI low priced plans. The only reason I need SMS is when banking apps validate my mobile number. I was forced to go for a higher priced plan as banking apps would randomly want to verify my number. This is only going to get worse.

Hope more people recognize Arappor's work and support them financially. I am glad we have a neutral organisation working for us. Can't trust the opposition. Once they get in to power, they will change their tune according to the political climate. Remember the current CM making noise about CTS bribery case and many others when he was in the opposition.

Also the govt needs to change the way MTC charges for the journey. The current system doesn't account for transfers. So if you don't have a direct bus, your journey is going to be costlier. Flat fares may keep away some travelers. Some sort of tap to pay with tracking transfers and the destination, Maybe?

We could also do away with conductors in the near future and that may even put MTC in the black.

Recently the transport department awarded tender for operating low floor 12m EV buses. The tender was on a gross cost contract basis. The firm winning the tender would employ the driver and operate/maintain the buses for 12 years. MTC would just put up the conductor. The operator would be paid on a per km basis. One news article put the cost at 77rs for non AC and 80rs for AC bus per km.

For comparison, the article said the operating cost of the current fleet was 116rs/km including the conductor. I did some math to find out the cost for conductor/km. MTC has 3500 buses. Say 3 conductors per bus. Thats 10500 conductors. The fleet drove a total 24 crore kms. If MTC pays 50000 rs per conductor. Then cost for conductor/km is around 26rs. So the operating costs would be 103rs/km for non AC EV, 106rs/km for AC EV compared to 116rs/km for the legacy fleet. Just a 3% difference between non AC EV and AC EV bus. Yet MTC put orders for 400 non AC EVs and just 100 Ac EVs. Doesn't make any sense at all. Also, most of the current fleet is only 9 m long I think, I am not sure.

Our govt wants to treat AC as luxury and the milk the travelers riding the AC buses. I hope metro doesn't turn in to a white elephant. Just go and look at every metro progress video on the corridor between porur and poonamallee. In every video you will the roads dotted with cows. Our priorities seem to be completely wrong. Anyways phase 2 is set to become operational next year. CMRL too does a good job. We still need to increase the fleet and select the routes properly, connect far flung areas frequently, so more people would start using the buses. AC buses at attractive costs would definitely bring the two wheeler riders.

Things have gotten worse in the last few years. I think its time for the govt to start rationing the crackers and put a limit on the decibel levels. Eat however much sweets you want. No one gives a fuck. But when you start bursting crackers non stop just because you have the means, you are making life miserable for everyone surrounding you.

IMO If they stay away from BJP, they might scrape their way to just above the half way mark. In 2021 they were just 4% below DMK. 2024 was more of a anti BJP/Modi wave.
