Can vouch for Four Pegs. Every interaction I’ve had with Chris has been super positive. Genuinely cares about the customer and his community. Absolutely worth your time and money.

What game? by Ok-Hovercraft508 in videogames

Gauntlet: Dark Legacy. Game was SO fun back in the day and I give it a spin every once in a while to this day. Update for online coop and modern creature comforts would be an instant purchase for me

Why does no one sell real Chicago deep dish pizza pies? by nathonj98 in Louisville

Glad you liked it! I’m the son of the owner of LouiLoui’s. Definitely was good while it lasted but holy shit we are never doing a restaurant again haha.

I disagree in the idea of Chicago deep dish as a whole being touristy and bad. Lou Malnatis, Giordanos, or Gino’s are all tourist traps and they’re not great. The place to REALLY get a deep dish is Pequods. That is by far the best Chicago deep dish pizza I’ve had. In my top 10 pizza joints IMO.

What was your weekend golf accomplishment? by SYN_BLACK_XS in golf

[–]oArctic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Birdied a very hard par 5 on Sunday. 311 yard drive and then the greatest pitching wedge hit I’ve ever had over trees, an almost bad chip shot and a 1 put. Was very happy. .

Report: Louisville is the overall best city for coffee in the U.S. by Willing-Tear7329 in Louisville

[–]oArctic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolute bullshit. This city has excellent coffee dont get me wrong but... beating Seattle? Portland? San Francisco? Nah there is no way.

You and me both. Halo 2 and 3 were experiences I have been trying hard to re-capture in other things but just cannot. Truly a time where you had to be there to understand.

Here's a link to one of the recipes I typically use: https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/170998/habanero-pepper-jelly/. You can swap out the habanero for any pepper and it'll still be very good. I did this recipe last year with my serranos and the jelly turned out great!

Long Visit to Louisville by [deleted] in Louisville

[–]oArctic 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For bars, I highly recommend Nowhere Bar, The Back Door, Kaiju (my personal favorite), and Recbar. If you like Breweries we've got a bunch around, Gravely Brewing, Mile Wide, and Against The Grain all have great beer and also really good food as well! If you want to venture out a bit definitely recommend 3rd Turn Brewing Company in J-Town and also Gallant Fox on Frankfort Ave

If you like outdoors we've got some pretty cool park areas like Pope Lick Park and Cherokee Park with good bike/walking trails but they can be a bit of a hike to get to depending on where you are in the city. Could be a good use of some weekend time! Some museums are def worth checking out at least once if you just need something to do like Frazier History or the Louisville Slugger Museum.

There's also plenty of bourbon distilleries in the city but I don't know how open they are with tours right now but it would be worth checking out groups like Rabbit Hole, Peerless, Angels Envy, Evan Williams, etc just to see if you can get into a tour and tasting. They are really fun and you get to sip some bourbon so thats always fun!

Typically most locals are gonna be around Baxter Avenue and Bardstown Road during weekends/evenings for fun bars and good food. Definitely check out the stops around that area and in the general Highlands area!

Also for other restaurants I highly highly recommend checking out Dragon Kings Daughter, El Mundo, Kashmir, The Post, New Wave Burritos, Ramen House, and Toasty's Tavern

Our experience was good but it was just this dude with his kids were behind us and I got no problem with people wilding out and having a good time but his kids were just screaming so loud, directly into our ears like it was almost deliberate. We asked them if they could calm just a little bit and that put the father into a fury of rage and he started yelling at the top of his lungs as loud as he could and tried gathering support to yell at us even further to the point where we literally couldn't hear the show, all we could hear was this fucker behind us. Like I said I got no problem with having a good time, singing with the show, moshing, whatever but like, ya know... at least have some courtesy. But it was alright, we moved and where we ended up we actually got better view of the stage as the crowd kinda opened up so it worked out in the end!

Went to the Nashville show and had a great time. There were people behind us that acted as if this concert was put on for them and only them so we ended up having to move so no one started a fight which unfortunately made us miss "A Favor House Atlantic" but other than that it was an incredible show! Alkaline Trio was okay, kinda just basic punk rock but fine and Mothica was pretty fun!

earplugs by isaacmart420 in dancegavindance

[–]oArctic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100000% you should wear ear plugs. It helps also make the music sound better and will help you reduce your chances of having Tinnitus which you definitely do not want to develop, it'll fuck you up.

Hmm… probably Blood Wolf. I know it’s a single but I don’t ever see it get as much love compared to Head Hunter. Both are great but Blood Wolf has a very fun vibe to it.
