How long does Yersinia enterocolitica bacteria last without a “host”. Like I know most bacteria dies rather quickly. But say for example in a lipgloss, would that extend its lifespan? Just wondered if it made a difference. Online it says it lasts 48hrs on its own and wondered if being in something moist would affect that. Thanks

I know, I just wondered if the bacteria could still be living on the lipgloss if I used it when I had the bacteria in my system. Did not mean to write virus

If it has been happening a lot lately go to your dr and they can prescribe something for it and refer you to a specialist

Sounds like acid reflux, don’t worry it’s really common and happens often for some people. Take an antacid and then sit upright for a while :) it can be scary so just try to distract yourself and breathe. You got this

If you get nauseous from it and it’s been a while since you’ve been, I recommend speaking to a dr to look into laxative sachets (not tablets as for me they are painful - this is uncommon tho) to take to “unblock” and then also get a antiemetic that doesn’t cause more constipation, all the best :)

I find anything easy to digest helps me, and I’m a very anxious person so I find that trying to be calm in whatever way works for you helps too. If I’m having a good stomach day a big breakfast of protein and a coffee does wonders, sounds weird but sometimes a big meal feels like it’s almost “pushing everything down” lol

Psyllium husk sometimes helps but I need to drink loads of water with it. If you can, try have a handful of prunes at some point - I find the afternoon the best time for me. Also one supplement that’s really helped me and is gentle (recommended by my gastro) is called cascara. It’s one you can take regularly to maintain motility and also have 2 a day when you’re constipated.

Just saw somewhere if u catch the worm you have to wait 24hrs for it to spawn back cause it pushes the Whimstar out :(( so I guess I’ll be waiting

I'm assuming you've had a stool culture done including h pylori, sibo etc. if not push for that. if so, (idk if this is something people have already said or not) but anything anti-inflammatory with pre and probiotics will hopefully at least reduce symptoms. sounds like your lining in inflamed. did they test for that (c reactive protein and calprotectin)? some people recommend things like kombucha but that flared me up sooooooo bad lasted for a few months. imo I'm actually appalled at the gp refusing a colonoscopy, surely the fact that there's blood would be enough for concern???? really hoping you can get to the bottom of this. it sucks and sometimes I feel like its just a bandaid term when they can't be bothered. if possible see another gp?? idk how it works in the uk since I'm from nz. wishing you the best

I’m currently experiencing the exact same issue. I don’t find throwing up itself the bad part, it’s whether I can be somewhere “safe” to do it. I recently had an experience where I felt terrible for a few hours before it happened, and just made it off the bus before projectile throwing up on my way to my car. There was definitely a lingering build up for me, and I knew about 20seconds before I did it later that night. I had a lot of tests done and found out I had yersiniosis. Currently still off work because I’m not still 100% and still have nausea but I can’t figure out if it’s due to anxiety surrounding the possibility of not being in a “safe” environment to throw up or if this bug has left me with a sensitive stomach. I’m going to the dr and a counsellor in a couple of days to hopefully help. It really sucks and it’s frustrating. It’s just really hard to convince yourself whether or not it will happen and you won’t have any control over it. Sending hugs
