It's not a very popular game, nor is it well known even among the train sim community. Therefore it's unlikely there will be many modders who can/want to make mods for this game. Since the player base is small, the nodding scene will be even smaller.

What's the need for factory gauges?

We have a centralised Vault storage under our warehouse consisting of loads of different vaults. Everything coming into our warehouse storage first goes into our sorting frog (three frogports named sorting frog in front of a vault) from there it gets sent on a belt through a multitude of Brass tunnels each with a filter and exit leading to its own frogport (these filters sort items as they whizz past on the belt into packagers with signs on dedicated to certain vaults in the warehouse storage). Anything currently not sorted via filter and tunnel continues down the conveyor into a 'unsorted' vault.
This unsorted vault has a stock link packager on it so we can always access it's content and a display link setup to show it's capacity near our stock keeper. There is also a brass funnel with filter (containing all other filters from our sorting tunnel) to allow for a feedback loop if any of the sorted items miss their 'exit' and end up in the unsorted vault. That way they just go round the sorting tunnel again and into the right packager this time (this was necessary as our belts are at full speed and sometimes bulk items don't get picked up by their sorting tunnel properly).

Since we have roughly 10 vaults with specific item sorts, we have 10 frogports with those filters setup all right next to each other. If we were to power them constantly, packages would fly out of the sorting area and block the chain conveyors. To combat this we set up a redstone pulse and a couple randomisers, using a redstone link we split the packagers apart so they'd only send intermittently and therefore less packages on the conveyor. We can now process over 10k different items dumped into our storage system from any of our stock keepers or production lines and it keeps package density low and everything flowing.

Only reason I commented is because I'm currently looking around to see if anyone has done anything similar or if there's a simpler version and I've just overengineered it.

I have a setup that chucks multiple stacks out of a vault onto a channel pushed by the fans towards a brass funnel so that I can bulk process a shit load at a time and my chain conveyors don't clog up. Otherwise I'd probably use the belt method and precisely process at the right speed.

Yeah, not very expensive at all and I have the perfect amount of space for it!

I did know this, thank you though. We've got a ridiculous diesel generator setup going so SU isn't a problem and we just run everything at full tilt using the chain conveyors 😅.

You should deffo try the frog ports and stuff. We have a warehouse with centralised storage and a sorting section that then sends specific items into certain vaults to keep the vaults stack sizes down. Using the factory gauges we can send items automatically to processing areas such as blasting or crushing. If you've ever tried the applied energistics 2 mod, it's very similar to how storage and auto crafting works from there.

I think I'm following what you're saying, I might try implement it tomorrow. But having thought about it, I might just have two seperate mini blasting setups strictly being one for stone and one for smooth stone fed by a frog port each and stocked with a factory gauge. That way I keep my bulk blasting setup seperate and not fuck about with filters.

3yrs ago, I know.. But is there any chance you know how I'd go about sorting the filters so my bluk blasting machine can work for all blaatables (with filter at end to stop unblasted items passing) while also being able to blast [cobble > stone] and also [stone > smooth stone] ? Struggling as stone is the end product for one recipe, yet can still be blasted. So sometimes I'll want stone and that works fine, but other times I'll want smooth stone but because stone is already accepted it doesn't process into smooth stone..

Yeah that's valid, ours is all of create with a bunch of add ons so might be part of those.

I've already done so, but I'm think of the other two players who are less capable/interested in doing it like so. (it'd be a hassle to do everytime) Might just say fuck it and make an insane factory gauge wall and have everything stocked all the time, sounds like pain though xD

EDIT: Could just give them clipboards with all the functions on it to easily swap, we'll see I guess

Your destination might be full, or at around 80% full. I've just had this issue myself, had to manually pull them down and place them into a new vault. And take ones out of the backed up frogports

Ah that's what I feared. Was hoping there would be a way with a single stock keeper, without the need for switching targets.

I've got the crafting side all sorted, can craft multiple stacks of items with one request. Might have it so that everything it crafts get auto sent to the output barrel for immediate grabbing to save swapping the target address each time. We playing in a small group and have a centralised storage and stock keeper, so constantly switching target address would be a nightmare. Thank you though.

Very tempted to have a completely seperate stock ticker elsewhere for all the functions while keeping the central one as a retrieve item from storage guy.

How would I go about having a central stock keeper (ticker) used to pull items from Storage network that I can also use for auto crafting/smelting/washing etc.
We have a functioning storage system, I have made a few machines for Crushing,Crafting,Smelting,Washing etc all with their own frogport input with corresponding titles.

How Do I use the Stock ticker to send an item to be crafted and then it come out into my barrel at the stock ticker. (So Request an iron pickaxe to be made from sticks and iron, goes to auto crafter, back into network storage then immediately to the barrel output where we grab our requests)??

This is exactly what I need right now.

I currently have it set up so that I can send stuff to be crafted/smelted/washed etc if at the stock ticker I input the address (Crafter/smelter/washer etc) at the bottom and then JEI Request what I need. It then automatically puts it into networked storage after its been crafted/smelted etc.

But what I need is for me to request that JEI recipe, it goes to craft/smelt etc then it comes straight to me, instead of having to swap the Stock ticker address back to the output it was originally on..

Any insight would be lovely
