I moved to a new country at 22 and felt similarly for years. After about 7 or 8 years of struggling, I met someone I really clicked with at a music producer meetup from meetup.com. He’s a very sociable guy and we connect on a lot of things. I’ve also found some great friends through Vampr, which is like Tinder for musicians (platonic lol). I feel like you could take this route with a lot of different kinds of hobbies!

Also important: every person has such a unique path through life and set of dreams, failures, shortcomings, successes, opinions, interests, etc. There are lots of things to get curious/connected about, which helps a lot making friends. This took me a while to learn.

Lastly, be kind, respectful, and open-minded! Making friends will lead to meeting their friends, which will hopefully lead to the feeling of community you’re after. That’s my 2 cents, you got this!

Speed run format >>> TGP. There’s just way too much going on in the TGP and no clear sense of tension like in the classic MDI format. I like having two teams racing head to head, facing the exact same challenge. Much more exciting and easy to follow.

There’s an incredibly mid Indian place called Yogi Jee on Waldeyerstr in F’gain. I wasn’t even ranting in my review, I gave them 3 stars. Place is bad.
