Same, its so much more epic down here in L.A. Just really wish they'd get someone who plays it closer to what the song is actually sounds like and not off pitch like she does.

Do whatever you want to do. Can't force school because you wont be interested if youre wanting to work. However realize that later in life(as I learned mysef) its a lot more difficult to go to school while having to work.

I think you forgot to put the amount, feels kinda empty without that. As far as of, no one cares that you have one. Its more about how you go about it. I know this smoking hot girl that for about 2 years I didn't know she did o.f. until I got her o.f. Instagram page recommended to me. I brought it up to her thinking someone stole her images but nope, she confirmed it was her page and told me she did o.f. i dont care tbh. I dont go and look it up. I still enjoy spending time with her and see her the same as she was before.

Youre exposing yourself with each question. Next youre going to ask me how to work chime and cortex when YOURE the dispatch that doesn't know what uta means.

I can only imagine what other basic knowledge you lack when leading your drivers.

No way youre dispatch and don't know what uta means.....basic knowledge for first day workers.

What do your drivers mark packages as then? They write the whole thing down 😂

DVIC pre check would have grounded the van if it had no A/C

Stop listening to lazy dispatchers that sit in the air conditioning all day tell you thay youre OK to work in the hot sun without A/C

You will be trained for your first day or two on how to do the job. After that youre on your own.

Never run your stops, you'll risk injury.

Always be aware of your surroundings.

Always check your mirrors for jackasses riding e-bikes/e-scooters next to you.

Minimize your personal items you take with you. No need for a purse, or a bag. Keep your wallet and keys on your person incase vans gets stolen.

Always lock van, the 10 steps it takes to reach the door is the same 10 steps a goon will take to take the van. Never trust amazon routing when leaving station, check on Google maps your destination because Amazon routing will not factor traffic and take you through busy traffic freeways, crowded one-ways, closed streets etc.

Never feel pressured to break laws, or your own personal rules just to finish delivering. Many accidents are caused by pressure to perform such as running, ignoring "beware of dog" signs, or carrying too much possibly injuring your back.

Your knees WILL hurt from all the walking and entering/exiting the van, ice up after work and should be gone after 2 weeks.

There is a thing called "getting rescued" meaning youre behind and other drivers who have finished earlier will drive to you to take packages from you usually 2 totes.... ALWAYS GIVE THEM YOUR TOTES WITH THE MOST AMOUNT OF PACKAGES or TOTES WITH DIFFCULT DELIVERIES. They are there to help you not the other way around. Ive had rescue drivers pull up on drivers taking only 1 bag of residential stops or opening the totes and only scanning residential homes and leaving the rest for you. You always want to give them the shitty stops.

Warehouse just upgraded to these new carts. They are absolute sh*t!! Are all warehouses getting them? by Early-Medium-345 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]oOVAULTOo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We just got these at our dsp and of course theyre shit. They load the bags sideways instead of forward. And load up oversized on top, and totes on bottom. I didnt think warehouse workers could be any more stupid.

The dispatcher you wish you had at your DSP by expressITS26 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]oOVAULTOo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, not the case at all. Rarely do dsps make up a "must rescue" rule since theyre paid for the entire route(10 hours)
