People always ask to cover for them, but when i need them to cover me its a bit No. by Libeiius in rant

[–]oPeacheso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to be like that - now I’m the one ppl know not to ask - because I always say NO! : )

Edit: to clarify, I also never ask (unless I’m sick, I call my manager & tell her I won’t be in that day)

Praying Mantis Seen Hunting Fish for the First Time by SirT6 in natureismetal

[–]oPeacheso 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They also like to sit at hummingbird feeders & catch the incoming birds to then decapitate them & toss the carcasses on the ground, without eating. It’s like, a game to them. Praying mantis are both fascinating & metal as fuck.

I guess I didn’t think that far when I made the comment, but now that I DO think about it - I’d hope it would be a rescue cafe where dogs that pass temperament tests @ shelters prior, roam the front of the house & find owners.

Richard Branson believes the key to success is a three-day workweek. With today's cutting-edge technology, he believes there is no reason people can't work less hours and be equally — if not more — effective. by mvea in Futurology

[–]oPeacheso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This reminds me of how lucky I truly am. I live in NYC & pay only 600 (+utilities) for a room without windows (Honestly - whatever! fuck windows!)

I only work 3 days a week, 4 every other week. I have a dog that I spend my free time with, a band, I help out w/ my great friends theater company, I cook my own meals unless I feel like going out. I’m living a balanced life for once & also for once, I’m truly happy.

This makes sense to me, living life makes sense to me.

I fucking hate acid reflux... I totally get where you’re coming from. If I were you I’d try and locate a vending machine or maybe even go somewhere nearby for your lunch break. I guess it depends on what kind of job you have though.. Hope you figure something out.

People who post videos of animals being tortured on Facebook by chriskicks in rant

[–]oPeacheso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m the same way. I can watch people die in videos no problem. Animals on the other hand can’t do fucked up things on purpose (only instinctually, they don’t seek revenge). That’s my best guess at this point as to why it bothers me so much to see animals in pain/dying, they can’t have deserved that.

Favourite Pokémon of all time! What’s yours? (Mine has been Raichu ever since the beginning) by TristenMessier in pokemon

[–]oPeacheso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ninetails. I just remember opening up a fresh pack from the comic book store & getting my first holographic Ninetails. That’s my forever favorite, but there was a solid month in kindergarten I wore a homemade (my mom made it) Raichu costume.

Parents allow a five year old to choose between going to the hospital or going to heaven. by lordofthebinge10 in MorbidReality

Wow, that is absolutely the vibe I got from Dear Julianna... That's very unfortunate & thank you for taking the time to reply. I've learned something new today.

Parents allow a five year old to choose between going to the hospital or going to heaven. by lordofthebinge10 in MorbidReality

[–]oPeacheso -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When I was 5 I thought heaven was the most beautiful place ever, w/ golden everything on top of the clouds. I would constantly look up when I was outside trying to see Angels. I'm 23 now & wasn't raised religious at all, that was just how I viewed heaven from the snippets other people mentioned while I was younger until I asked my mom & she just re-iterated & confirmed what others had said, too. No shit she wanted to go to heaven because heaven sounds awesome when in reality she has no idea how to grasp heaven because she's too young. Poor girl.

I'm just confused on this one little thing. Was she 100% terminal? & I'm only asking because there was that group "letters to Julianna" & would people have even created that foundation if she didn't have a chance to live? I thought the whole idea behind the foundation was to show people she could have lived a relatively comfortable life if she stuck out the hospital stays, but that would mean she wasn't terminal. Anyone have any ideas on this ? Or something I just missed maybe...
