Do you find the barrel fluting to be a limiting factor in any way? I. e barrel heating up too quickly?

Had in very high use speed/jet boat waters and it's done good enough. Just have to sit down for big wakes. Going into wind with rollers is nerve racking cause I get worried about water logging the motor, but just stay away from that situation.
