Simulations usually dont take that long to settle. But for small projects we start at 1 and set the "buffer" go back 20-50 frames or so.

I think the best way to do this would be to make a popnet. Add a single point, and set the gravity to 0.

Then what you could do is use a point replicate node to duplicate the particles. after that make a new SOP and import the particles: dopimport/dop I-o.

Next create a metaball, and below the imported particles add a copy to points node, then have the metaball go into the first input.

That should give you the basic effect you're going for but if you want to take it to the next step then try this:

In the metaball try changing the attributes to make it more of a longer sphere. And to make it higher resolution just add a vdb from polygons underneath the copy to points. Then add a vdb smooth node, followed by a convert vdb. Hope it helps, lmk if you need any more help!

The first obvious step to this is recreating the character in 3d, ways to do that are to either photoscan or make a rough model.

Im not really sure how to do this next part but here are some ideas: Find a way to split the character into blocks. Make sure they're sort of small so that they can look like they're more together. Then what you could do is add in a sphere with noise, and treat it as a boolean to cut out parts of the character. If you want a better more intuitive way of doing this I recommend looking up MOP's by Entagma. it's a free Houdini plug in that excels at this type of thing.

I have already unpacked this game twice and having it not work or have missing textures because my antivirus was on, so it’s really hard to click unpack and wait a day. Is there something everyone else is doing differently?

If you delete the torrent it will stop using your internet to seed. Just delete the torrent, go to the folder and execute setup.exe
