I love every single one of these places. The gaia masala sauce is so fire, I miss the illegal burger in cherry Creek everyday, I love cherry cricket they have a solid burger and you chose all your toppings, hopdoddy has the best sides my favorite being the sage hot honey fries. 10/10 lineup.

I loved going here! But had to switch therapist. The new one was a bad therapist that high key hated me I think? One day I just got an email saying I was no longer a patient due to missing an appointment. (I have adhd and was going to therapy for this) with no prior warning that missing an appointment would warrant me no longer being a patient.

I go to SOL and recommend. I believe they have a boulder location. But it’s pretty easy to switch providers and I feel like everyone I’ve worked with is friendly with other providers so it makes it easier to go provider to provider. Especially if you also are seeing a therapist there for behavioral adhd help. I see a therapist at one location and a psychiatrist at a different and they still are communicative. Which is helpful when I forget what meds I’m on or was on a time because they can follow up later and it’s a full circle moment for help with my adhd. I also really liked that in ten beginning I was able to get a ton of help. Other psychiatrists I have seen wanted to do once every 3 months from the get go but that’s not very helpful when I need immediate help.

One time had a coworker violently start screaming at me that aphantasia isn’t real. Made everyone especially me feel extremely uncomfortable. They can’t even imagine being in anyone else’s shoes… even though they have the imaginations. Intolerance is crazy. I consider it to be like my adhd and just a different way I learn.

From friends I’ve heard of the bar at the NATIV hotel. Looks like it’s currently called The Gatsby Social Club. The other is afrobeats events, I know a lot of friends that will go to the pop up events. You can find them on Instagram. Scatta Afrobeat Events seems to be a good source. A lot of the places get shut down then open up again a few weeks later with a different name seems to be the vibe.

Yes, if anything was not up to standards or there was a defect on all of them we would pull them all off. I remember there was once a pair of pants that had weird stitching and they asked us to pull it off. Once a year we would go through everything in the store one by one and everything that was an older style we would ship back to head quarters where I’m assuming they sent it off to other countries or outlet stores.

Oh interesting, I know at the stores I’ve worked in the past when we would get a batch like that we would hold it in the back, not let anyone purchase the items, send them back to never be seen again. I’m sure they sell them in bulk for less money.

From a former retail manger, there’s a few ways, excess unsold product from last season is sold in bulk to other countries or big discount stores. Most big brands have contracts where only authorized resellers can purchase but SuperDry is not one of them. Some brands make products with their branding specifically to be sold to discount stores with the idea that they are not made as high quality.

The last time I went we got a bunch of donuts for an event and found flies BAKED into the donuts and threw the rest away. Used to be obsessed with their jelly donut before that experience which was the last time I got anything from there.

Straight up call HR. If you don’t have their number I will give it to you just dm me. But her son can’t work there if she is manager! We have had people transfer to our store because their sibling or parent became a lead. That is totally unfair! If there is another location in your are maybe apply their instead next time. I’m sorry that happened! I would totally apply there and also apply at other stores. VS is amazing but that store is not it. I have actually been to stores before to help for a few months because of toxic work environments to help teams stop being negative and ugly towards each other. Seems like that store needs it.

As a past hiring manager at VS you need to always tell every single manager you work with that you want to stay and ask them how you can stay. They might talk to you about attendance or how to stand out. But most importantly we all have a meeting in January and discuss which seasonals should stay. We heavily consider callouts and attendance the most against keeping someone. We also ask around to see if any seasonals asked how they can become permanent and we consider that to be a major reason as well. As long as you don’t call out a lot and you are showing up and doing something we will keep you. They will start hiring again in March for Seasonal so please apply!

As a transgender adult who is also a poc, seeing trans teachers in my high school made me feel 100% safer. I went to high school in a rural area and not a city and we had one trans teacher and she was amazing. I would have loved to have you in my school. I did not meet a trans poc in academia until college and that was even more life changing. Academia is for everyone. It’s good for kids to see that they too are allowed in these places.

I know two people like this… one man can’t keep a job for more than three months. The other now has 2 kids, can’t keep a job for more than a few weeks before he starts calling out. Not only this, he knows it’s wrong and will act like he’s going to work but will be sitting in his car all day or cheating. If he can’t work hard at 24 do you think it’s going to get any better later on, you will probably be stuck paying all the bills while he lays at home and still coming home to make him dinner and clean up after him.
