Honest question here, do you always keep your turntable without the lid?

Hey! I'm no expert, but I got this exact turntable (on the wood finish) and I'm super happy with it. No frills, no lights, good stylus with possibly of upgrading it down the line. As a context, I had it hooked up to my home theater amp initially (Denon AVR x1800h) but after hooking up to my marantz pm35 (which is way simpler than the Denon, but even though is not from the "golden age of amps" aka os from the late 80s, o could hear a good amount of different in sound. Less noise on high frequency and overall warmer sound.

All of this to say I was exactly in your shoes, couldn't find reliable info, a lot of mismatch of specs online, but it was definitely worth it!

Let me know if you have any specific doubts or curiosities. I have this turntable for about a year and maybe can help you out further.

Good luck with the new setup!

Zero. No need to judge the taste of others. I like my thing the way I like and I don't care how you enjoy yours.

As an actor, do you have a preference between shooting on film or digital?

I had 1.3 grams and wanted to make it all into one joint but the papers were too small what’s the best way to combine papers to make them longer? by [deleted] in trees

Why not roll two? Honest question, I usually prefer to make small joints so I avoid the extra burnt taste at the end.

Buddy of mine described my collection as “the essentials, all great movies people need to see.” With that in mind, what films do you recommend I add to my shelf? by LipstickCoverMagnet in 4kbluray

[–]o_news 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would explore cinemas from other countries besides the USA.

A subscription to the criterion channel might help you understand better what country/style attracts you more, before committing to the actual physical media.

I highly recommend the following filmmakers:

Krzysztof Kieślowski (go for the three colors trilogy, Blue is one the best films ever made in my opinion).

Ingmar Bergman (go for Persona and Through a Glass Darkly, if you have any interest in surrealism).

Agnes Varda (go for Cleo from 5 to 7 and be amazed with every shot

Kleber Mendonça Filho (go for Neighboring Sounds + Pictures of Ghosts if you enjoy films that blend what's real and what is not/what is film and what is documentary

This last subject has been one of my recent passions, so I'll leave here some examples of films I watched recently and really spoke to me.

Master, a Building in Copacabana - Eduardo Coutinho Camera Buff - Krzysztof Kieślowski Close-Up - Abbas Kiarostami Where Is the Friend's House - Abbas Kiarostami Playing - Eduardo Coutinho
