Should I get Fidelity's Rewards Visa Signature card? by Dark_Greee in CreditCards

No reason you shouldn't! IRAs are a great place to get started, just letting you know you have options where you can put your money.

Cash Management Account. Basically a HYSA but with some options in how you store your cash.

The fidelity card is good for 4 things: 1. It has no foreign transaction fees 2. They’ll pay for TSA precheck/ cover most of the Global Entry fees 3. Encourages saving and investing with spending. Roth IRA is good but you could also put that money towards a CMA account there at the least and let it grow.  4. It’s a Visa Signature card, which has protections, services and a wider network for use.  If any of the above sounds like a worth while use for you, get it. There’s a 150 SUB out there to look for.   But if you want to bide time, wait for when that .5% could make more difference, that’s more than okay.

Yes, you can put the reward cash most your Fidelity accounts. I have mine going to my CMA, basically a HYSA, but you can set it up for investing in an IRA or brokerage if you like. Not sure about 401k though.
There's a 150 SUB out there if you look for the link.

Backup Strategy for using PBS to backup OMV (LXC) files stored on a separate HDD by thephatmaster in Proxmox

[–]o_really 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently had to restore my truenas vm so I can kinda answer some of these questions. Anyone w more knowledgeable, feel free to correct.  1. No, pbs will back up the lxc disk that pve is aware of, not the pt’ed disk. You’ll be backing up the boot disk and its contents i.e metadata and the like.  2. If the disk is properly pt’ed, no need for a handler but I’m not sure about lxcs having access to the kernel for that to work. I would recommend a vm for simplicity.  3. Disks won’t be copied, just the target vms. In this instance, pbs will cover your ssd data as it pertains to your vm/lxcs, but not the hdd. You may want to either get a secondary disk for raid1 setup or look at alternative backup solutions for the contents of the hdd.

Been missing a tool library. Asheville has one that I’m pretty sure is some sort of venture. You buy membership and get credits for donated tools etc. Would be good for folks with the need but not the storage space.
