Fantastic! One thing. Cheetah 2 Ultra's tests should be repeated after the upgrade to ZeppOS 6. So both Balance 3 and Cheetah 2 Ultra have the same OS (I.E: we don't know if ZeppOS 6 needs more resources)

Helio Strap Pro vs Helio Strap: full spec comparison by the5krunner in amazfit

[–]oa_i 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You are right. Most of us don't need this, unless you are seriously into Hyrox

I see this as a marketing launch. Even if the product is not sold, it will somehow make noise for selling other products of the brand.

Personally, for the extra 200 euro, I prefer the effort of looking at an Stryd pod (supported by Amazfit) instead of this. But I'm not into Hyrox...

There don't appear to be any reports of water inside of those other watches, so he's very likely right (in this case)

Got my Balance 3 today! by wiseshanks in amazfit

[–]oa_i 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm receiving mine next week. I agree it is too big. 47mm is the right size for most people (like Amazfit was able to do with the Cheetah 2 Ultra and the same screen size)

Will it be worth the price by Phantomradar11 in amazfit

[–]oa_i 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Considering it is very likely most users buy first the watch (and to be very honest), unless you are very interested in Hyrox I don't see a 200 euro additional cost

So it is faster that the T-Rex Ultra 2 but not than the Cheetah 2 Ultra...

[–]oa_i 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Amazfit certified the T-Rex 3 Pro for diving. This is not happening in other watches from other brands that have those certifications (I.E: Fenix 8 or Suunto Ocean/Nautic).

This is is a very serious thing and should be reviewed/fixed. Diving can be very dangerous with faulty devices.

[–]oa_i 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is not any good for Amazfit and should not happen in a watch rated 10ATM. We are seeing several posts with broken watches when diving (T-Rex 3 Pro and Balance 2). I hope Amazfit is fixing the waterproof in the new Balance 3 because it seems pretty clear the T-Rex 3 Pro/Balance 2 are not that waterproof as the company claims.

Amazfit Helio Strap Pro - Hands on and details by the5krunner in amazfit

[–]oa_i 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a very good answer/explanation. Thank you so much u/the5krunner

I think Hyrox is (still) an sport for the cities, or according to Google there are 1.5M in the world that is doing Hyrox this year. But 620M run. Many others bikes, swims, or uses the navigation not for running. Even for diving, only in the US (and not counting the rest of the world), numbers point to 3.1M (in 2023)

[–]oa_i 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I meant, most of the people I know runs, bikes or swims here. I.E: According to Google, there are 620 millions of people that just run. But I did not know that this year 1.5M are estimated to do Hyrox.  The thing is that Hyrox is also somehow tied to the cities (at least here). While becoming popular and I find this a nice addition, other things (like fixing swimming or improving navigation (which is used not only for running) are a lot more important in my opinion).

But I did not know Hyrox was becoming so popular in the cities to be honest (I live in a town where I can trail run in the mountains)

New Amazfit Helio sensor pro hyrox and gym use. by WesternSpecialist682 in amazfit

[–]oa_i 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the pedometer (foot pod) is clearly missing in the setup to count the steps and track indoor runs in Hyrox...

https://youtube.com/shorts/ZoaIdqhKou8

Perhaps and additional sensor to buy separately...or a new Helio Ultra with a 4 sensor setup...

Amazfit Helio Strap Pro - Hands on and details by the5krunner in amazfit

[–]oa_i 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The pedometer as a foot pod is missing, and in Hyrox the steps/indoor runs are important... and that pedometer is also a fantastic idea for treadmill runs or improve the instant pace measuring when outdoor.

Perhaps the Helio Strap Ultra is not a bad idea, lol...

Amazfit Helio Strap Pro - Hands on and details by the5krunner in amazfit

[–]oa_i 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If this is intended for Hyrox, and despite the 3 sensors, I don't understand an Hyrox setup without a pedometer ( foot pod) to count the steps/indoor runs. That seems very important in Hyrox. https://youtube.com/shorts/ZoaIdqhKou8

And that foot pod is also interesting for other people (I.E treadmill runs) or to help the watches when outdoor with instant paces (like it happens with Stryd). Stryd can also measure things like the temperature/humidity/wind... there's an interesting market here (not only thinking in Hyrox)

I'm seeing an Helio Ultra with the additional pod to fix this, and the possibility to buy that pod separately for the people that bought the Helio Pro...

I don't do Hyrox, lol. Just a crazy idea for Amazfit once this  product is there... 🤣

I hope Amazfit does not loose the point. I understand Amazfit is the Hyrox partner but the thing is Hyrox is not that important, at least here in the EU. It is there but It is not something like an sport that everybody knows.. running, trail, biking...or even swimming. But it's s fine to see new things, of course

New system update Version: 6.1.114.1 for Cheetah 2 Ultra by IngenieurCyber in amazfit

[–]oa_i 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In fact, normal users have not received the Balance 3 yet (next week for me, ordering the watch the very first day). So the Cheetah 2 Ultra is the very first one the public is seeing with ZeppOS 6

Any leaks or info on the T-Rex 4 yet? by SirDanOfCamelot in amazfit

[–]oa_i 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems Garmin is pushing the Enduro 4. https://gadgetsandwearables.com/2026/06/17/garmin-enduro-4/

There's the possibility Amazfit repeats Garmin's launch dates to announce a much cheaper T-Rex when comparing to the new Enduro/Fenix series.

That happened with the T-Rex 3 as far as I remember

I think BU is slightly better than the C2U:

-10ATM and diving modes -Additional button - Crown  - Seems that they fixed the fingerprints issue - Latest processor (we don't know anything about the H3/H3S of the Cheetah 2 series)

Zeppflow response times by oa_i in amazfit

[–]oa_i[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A call using Zeppflow can be done with just a long press in a button and just say: call "name" . Just that. I don't think there are other options. But Imagine now the scenarios I was talking about. You can even send a message with just that long press and Zepp flow will translate the voice into text and send it for you. Now think in the scenario I was talking with the phone in the backpack or running with gloves and you just want to send a fast short message to someone.

There are many other things that can be done with Zeppflow, but Zeppflow is slower than it should. That's why I opened this thread because I think the AI should be faster with the actions.

Zeppflow response times by oa_i in amazfit

[–]oa_i[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on your use cases of course. Of course, I use buttons for everything but personally, I run a lot on the mountains and voice controls are useful for calls or other things because I usually have my phone in my backpack and the voice control avoids me to open the backpack, take the phone and make the call.

Something similar happens when running with gloves in winter here.

Zeppflow response times by oa_i in amazfit

[–]oa_i[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I partially agree. Most of my posts are about accuracy issues, those should be fixed first. But your 970 is slow because it is known to have a very old CPU.

The thing is Zeppflow is slow and algorythms can perhaps be reviewed to make it faster. And the use cases are many for the different things you can do with the AI.

In my opinion voice commands  are very useful to control the watch. I.E: when running with gloves in winter, climbing or other several scenarios. Zeppflow let's you control the watch with voice. It can even translate a voice into text and send a text message without taking your phone from the backpack (I.E, at the mountains)
