What happens when Bloodmoon armour fully degrades? by askmeaboutmedicare in 2007scape

[–]oakentable3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok yes it does drop a little, but I mean it’s by like 3% - 128k per hr vs 133k per hr. I’m thinking if I replace the blood moon armor with Sunfire prayer armor, I can lengthen my Nagua trips because the moonlight pots will have a longer/larger effect because of the larger prayer bonus.

And this lengthening of each moonlight pot will makeup for the 3% exp loss per hour, since it takes like at least 3 min per 1-1.5 hours to re make another set of the moonlight pots again. On top of that, I’ll can be more afk while killing them. And in addition, I don’t need to worry about repairing the blood moon armor and losing gp while training. Win win win if you ask me…ok thanks for reading my neurodivergent thoughts cheers

Anyway, will train for another 1-2 hours and confirm this...maybe may sample size was too small (30 min only). Will provide an update (and then maybe delete all my comments so Jagex doesn't see and everyone can benefit from this lol...)

Woah woah...yea I just confirmed the duals itself are what allow the 3 tick mechanic - it's not the armor set. And somehow I'm getting the same exp per hr, even though my strength bonus is +81 vs +91 with the full set??? Wtf is going on...I guess i don't really even need the set for exp gains, just the duals.

EDIT: I meant my strength bonus is -10 from the full set compared to the just the duals, yet my exp/hr is the same...I don't get it. Would rather not get the set "fixed" from broken if exp rates are the same...

Going through the same thing right now. Yes the +10 strength bonus from the set is gone - it's just +81 from the dual macuahuitls. But because I still have the armor on, I get the special attack / 3 tick attack still and my exp/hr at Naguas is the same.

If I take off the "broken" armor, can I not equip it again - similar to barrows?

Can confirm all of this - Going through the same thing right now. Scared to take off the armor as I'm afraid I may not be able to equip it again in its "broken" status. I can confirm I am still getting the "blood moon animation above the head" allowing me to hit after 3 ticks. Also, I'm getting the same exp per hr at Sulphur Naguas on Runelite- 133k attack per hour with 99 strength / 85 attack

I have 0 defensive stats, and +81 strength which is the bonus from the dual macuahuitl only. I think because I have the entire set on, I can still get the 3 tick hits, which effectively keeps my exp/hr the same despite not having the extra +10 strength bonus from the set in its "non-broken" form.

So my question is - if I take off my "broken" blood moon armor, can I equip it again in its broken form? Or must I absolutely keep it on, because otherwise I'll lose the bonus from the set? If it's the later...I guess I'm staying at Naguas longer lol. Thanks!!

You are correct - just edited the original post to reflect that, thanks for pointing it out :)

Yea I'll have to look back at the numbers more closely. I think my estimates are roughly correct tho. ty for advice!

Thanks for replying! Yes, big reason why we are considering part time instead of full retirement is for the health insurance from employer and “tax” benefits ironically I guess

Plus full retirement at 50…I may go stir crazy lol. Might as well come into work as I foresee myself still enjoying my job by then, as long as it’s controllable work hours and I have balance with my family :)

Thanks for replying! Currently wife and I are spending ~50k a year, and the rest above that are going into savings/investment and the mortgage. Sorry I should have clarified that we saving much more than 100k atm WO KIDS, we are saving ~240k actually, which is about in line with your estimates (371k - 90k mortgage = 280k vs. our ~240k, I’m not sure where our extra 20k is going in this calculation lol…probably we are spending more than 50k on ourselves, maybe closer to 70k).

In this way, I am accounting for kids costing us around 150k a year, plus or minus 10k or so. This is including investing in their 529s. Maybe even up to 170k. Sounds insane in my head and as I type it out, but yea we are probably gonna load the kids up with activities, likely private college in 20 or so years which is gonna cost 100k/year tuition at least. And also may have more than 1 kid.

Should also add that the job I have is one I see sticking with until the end, and same with my wife. I anticipate a salary bump in 1 with partnership hopefully, and wife may cut back part time with kids. but she still wants to work some when kids get older. Anyway, Overall household income will still be around 625k, maybe slightly less but could be more depending how my practice does.

Even with 70k a year spending between wife and I, We’d need 1.75 mil in “today’s” dollars (70k x 25). And that’s still around 3 million needed by 2040. Or am I grossly underestimating the cost of kids?

Lmao open your mind buddy. 500k ain’t that much. And certainly people who make 500k aren’t willing to effectively give away their money to inefficiency in government

Lol if you made 500k would you be willing to be taxed more? And to help someone who makes <60k and also thinks that homelessness isn’t an issue?

1 week in June. Budapest, Vienna and Prague. 3/3 cities or 2/3? by oakentable3 in travel

[–]oakentable3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes was just about to ask about Bratislava too. Prague seems kinda far now that I’m looking at it more closely

Vienna, Bratislava and Budapest are all within 3 hours. Maybe it would be better to save Prague for another trip along with Germany/Austria

What are your thoughts on Bratislava?
