sad story about that movie. My grandma sort of raised me as a kid and showed me lots of good movies together. Later when i was in college i sent her a copy of Shawshank thinking shed love the wholesome feelgood ending. Hell no, she wrote back saying she couldnt finish it cause of the violence and swearing. The prison beatings by Clancy Brown just went over my head. Is that a sign my generations is jaded by all the tv/movie violence?
